Outlook: The Black Bears are out to snap a six-game skid and take some momentum and confidence into Monday’s conference opener. UMaine continues to search for some continuity and chemistry. That quest has been hampered by its propensity for turnovers (20.8 per game). Siena, of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, comes in having lost five in a row and has shot only 30 percent during that stretch. The Saints have beaten Rhode Island and lost to Central Connecticut and Massachusetts this season. Siena has good offensive balance but struggles from the 3-point arc. The Bears’ challenge will be getting back quickly in transition and shutting off penetration, as Siena has a knack for getting to the foul line.
