SCARBOROUGH — Shawn Morrison of Brewer rolled a five-game score of 656 on his way to winning his second International Candlepin Bowling Association World Singles Championship at the Big 20 Bowling Center in Scarborough on Sunday.

Morrison set the early pace for all bowlers, rolling a score of 168 for his first game and stayed ahead of the field, securing a 36-pin victory. Jim Putney of Burlington Mass., rolled a final game of 163 in trying to catch Morrison, earning the runner-up honor.

Ruzzano was in a battle for all five games and closed out her victory by rolling a final game of 136 to secure a 22-pin margin over runner-up and newly inducted Hall of Fame bowler, Nancy Vestal of Lynn, Mass.
