WARREN, Maine — Three people armed with crowbars and a hammer brutally beat up several people in an attempted drug-related robbery, according to court documents.

Each of the three suspects will be held on $50,000 cash bail, a judge decided Monday.

Leroy Parker, 21, of Union, his sister Bridget Parker, 26, of St. George and Jessica Gagnon, 29, of Thomaston allegedly pulled masks over their faces last Wednesday night before they entered a Bowden Road home with crowbars. The three suspects had heard that the homeowner had a stash of marijuana and money in her home and they planned to steal it, according to the police affidavit.

Leroy Parker reportedly smashed through a window in the home as the women entered through the front door. Five people were in the home.

“Bridget and Leroy started hitting all the people. Leroy was yelling to everyone for the location of the money and drugs,” Gagnon told police. “There was blood everywhere.”

When police arrived at the Warren home, all five victims were taken to hospitals. Four were seriously injured.

The homeowner had the claw of a hammer stuck in her head, according to Assistant District Attorney Jon Liberman, who represented the state in Rockland District Court on Monday.

That woman is now out of the hospital, Liberman said.

Police had a detailed description of the getaway vehicle and reportedly traced the truck, bloody clothes and other evidence to the three suspects, who were arrested shortly after the incident.

Leroy Parker and Bridget Parker both were charged with elevated aggravated assault, robbery and burglary. They are being held in Knox County Jail awaiting $50,000 cash bail or $200,000 surety.

Jessica Gagnon, who recently got out of prison for kidnapping a Rockland teenager and beating her, will be held on $50,000 cash bail or $200,000 surety for charges of elevated aggravated assault, robbery, burglary and criminal restraint.
