BANGOR — Kids of all ages can take a close-up look at trucks and vehicles of all sizes and functions during the brand-new Touch-A-Truck Fair 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at Cole Land Transportation Museum, 405 Perry Road.
Tickets are $5 each, or $20 a family. Proceeds will go to Camp CaPella, provider of recreational opportunities and handicapped-accessible facilities on Phillips Lake for children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities.
Pelletier brothers from the Discovery Channel’s “American Loggers” will have logging vehicles on display.
BANGOR — The KahBang Festival will feature more than 50 bands and performers, 20 films and art exhibits Aug. 5-13 downtown.
KahBang kicks off a day of music and art on Saturday, Aug. 6, in West Market Square. Headlining the show 2-10 p.m. will be fan favorites The Gay Blades, The Vanityites, Dean Ford, The Class Machine, The Okay Win and The 220s. The event is free and open to all.
Closing weekend, Aug. 12-13, on three waterfront stages will feature Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, Lupe Fiasco, My Morning Jacket, Atmosphere, Evidence, Atomic Tom, Roz Raskin & the Rice Cakes, Chromeo and many more.
