Sebasticook Valley Chamber to sponsor trade show, fair

DEXTER, Maine — The Sebasticook Valley Chamber of Commerce will hold its 15th annual Trade Show & Community Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at the Ridge View Community School, 175 Fern Road in Dexter.

Friends of the Bangor Public Library announce book sale

BANGOR, Maine — The Friends of the Bangor Public Library annual book sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at the library.

A pre-preview sale will take place from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 6, and a Friends’ preview will take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday. The proceeds from the sale benefit the library. For more information, call 947-8336.

St. Baldrick’s head shaving at Orono parking lot

ORONO, Maine — The UMaine Circle K, a Kiwanis-affiliated college service organization, will hold St. Baldrick’s head shaving event from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, in the Riverside Steam Plant parking lot on campus.
