BREWER – Diane Rae Boyd, 61, passed away unexpectedly April 3, 2011, at a Bangor hospital. Diane was born June 22, 1949, in Milo, the daughter of the late Arthur and Viena (Worster) Osgood.
She graduated from Orville Platt High School, Meriden, Conn., in 1967. Diane was most recently working for Automatic Distributors, Bangor, where she had been employed for the past 23 years. Diane was an avid photographer and crafter who loved making gifts for family members. She loved her yearly trips to Nevada to spend time visiting her daughter and also spending time at the family camp on Boyd Lake.
She is survived by her two daughters, Constance Boyd and her husband, Patrick, of Reno, Nev., and Kimberlee Hazelett; two grandsons, Joshua and Jared; two brothers, Arthur Osgood and his wife, Wendy, of Meriden, Conn., and Darrell Osgood and his wife, Mary, of LaGrange; a nephew, Michael Osgood of LaGrange; two nieces, Penny Dirmyer of South Carolina and Nicole Townsend of Connecticut; and a very special friend, Seth Gray. She will be missed by her beloved cat, Gabby; and many other family members.
Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at Lary Funeral Home, Milo, where funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, April 8, with the Rev. Michele St. Cyr officiating. Burial will be later in the spring in the family lot at Hillcrest Cemetery, LaGrange. Those who wish may make contributions in Diane’s memory to a charity of choice.
