Overall, the nation grew at 9.7 percent during that time period, while the fastest-growing state, Nevada, grew at a stunning 35.1 percent. The nation’s population now stands at 308,745,535, with Maine’s population at 1,328,361, enough for the state to hold onto its two members of the House of Representatives.
