Musical cabaret to celebrate Bar Harbor

BAR HARBOR,  Maine — After a 19-year hiatus, Jesup Memorial Library and the YWCA of MDI are bringing back “The Cabaret” in celebration of the library’s 100th anniversary. Shows are 7 p.m. March 4 and 5 and 3 p.m. March 6. Directed by Anne and Robert Bahr, the theme “Phantom of the Library” will feature music of the decades. Joe Cough and Lindsay Smith Wilson have the lead roles with supporting roles by Roland Dube, Chuck Somers, Stephanie Erb and other familiar faces. Some of the area’s up-and-coming young talent who have appeared in Acadia Community Theater productions the past two years also will be taking on roles. Seating is limited to 100 people per performance. Tickets are $15 per person and include pie and coffee. Advance ticket sales only at the Jesup Memorial Library.
