JACKMAN, Maine — A Jackman, Maine, kindergarten teacher facing child pornography charges was investigated in New Hampshire 13 years ago for taking photos of students undressing.

But Rob Mocarsky was not charged after the New Hampshire investigation while he was an elementary school teacher in Grantham.

He left Grantham in 1998. He started working in Jackman in 2002.

The 41-year-old Mocarsky is facing felony charges of sexual exploitation of a minor and possession of child pornography. The investigation that led to Mocarsky’s arrest began last month after a mother complained he made her daughter dress up in a French maid’s costume.

Mocarsky’s attorney Robert Sandy Jr. tells the Morning Sentinel of Waterville the use of costumes by teachers is not unusual or inappropriate.
