Dover-Foxcroft voters OK referendum issues

DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine — Dover-Foxcroft residents approved three referendum questions Tuesday and elected a SAD 68 director.

Residents voted 1,004 to 660 to adopt a proposed amendment to the town’s Comprehensive Plan; voted 964-708 to approve an ordinance titled “Amendments to Dover-Foxcroft Land Use Ordinance” regarding signs; and voted 1,100 to 612 to enact the “Town of Dover-Foxcroft Property Assessed Clean Energy Ordinance,” which authorizes selectmen to participate in a program to increase the affordability of clean energy for property owners.

Daniel Sharrow was elected to fill a vacant, unexpired term on the SAD 68 board of directors. Sharrow received 854 votes, while Jenny Chase garnered 676 and Brocke Robinson received 182.
