FRANKLIN, Maine — Damage from Monday night’s storm caused another power outage for customers in town Wednesday morning.
The outage hit at about 8:30 a.m. and affected about 1,272 customers in the Franklin area, according to Bangor Hydro-Electric spokeswoman Susan Faloon. Crews restored power by about 10:30 a.m., she said.
The outage came on the heels of widespread damage caused by high winds and heavy rain Monday night. At its peak, the storm caused outages to more than 40,000 customers in the Bangor Hydro and Central Maine Power regions.
Faloon said Bangor Hydro crews had restored power to all customers by Tuesday night, but added that the outage on Wednesday in Franklin was caused by the storm damage.
