AUGUSTA and LIMESTONE – Mrs. Beulah (Curry) McLaughlin passed away Sunday Jan. 10, 2010, after a short illness. Beulah was born Sept. 26, 1911, in Limestone, the oldest of 12 children to George Reid and Viola (Davenport) Curry. Beulah made her home in Mount Vernon and Fort Fairfield. She had lived for many years at Mountain View complex, Limestone. Beulah had a great life and was very active in community affairs, church and worked until age 72. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, George Sr.; daughter, Nathalie Ann McLaughlin; five brothers, Columbus, Buel, George Jr., Damon and Garth; three sisters, Cetrina Randall, Marjorie Baker and Darlene Gust. Surviving is Louis R. H. McLaughlin and wife, Lorraine, Lloyd and wife, Nancy McLaughlin of Fort Fairfield, Christina and husband, Bill Latham, of Mount Vernon, and Camilla Lee Roix of Groveland, Mass.; 18 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Avis Cantafio of Limestone and Eliza Ward and her husband, Richard, formerly of Limestone and now living in Lewiston; plus many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Maine General Hospital, Augusta; the doctors, Ramon Cheleuittes and Arun Ranganath; plus the caring staff for the care they gave our mother. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, at Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Limestone, with the Rev. Raymond Morency, celebrant. After the service, there will be a time of refreshments in the church fellowship hall. Committal services will take place in the spring at Advent Cemetery, Limestone.
