EVERETT M. CROSS

BREWER – Everett M. Cross, 84, husband of the late Eleanor (Walsh) Cross, died Dec. 31, 2009, at a Brewer health care facility. He was born Aug. 28, 1925, in Lubec, the son of Ray and Alice (Wilcox) Cross. Everett served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. He loved life, reciting poems, talking to his friends and family, and especially loved being with his grandchildren. Everett was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is survived by eight children, Lee and Lana Cross of Baileyville, Melvena Cross of Hancock, Ruth Cross and Bill Sherwood of Corinth, Christina Cross of Texas, Kenny Cross and Ray Cross, both of Florida, Whitney Cross and Mark Cross, both of Brewer; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his son, Merrill Dennis Cross. A service of remembrance will be held at a later date.
