BREWER – Bobby L. Johns, 68, died unexpectedly Dec. 28, 2009, at his home. He was born in Mapleton, Ga., son of Clarence W. and Leetha G. (Waits) Johns. Bobby grew up in Anniston, Ala., and served his country with the U.S. Air Force and the Air National Guard, from which he retired. He was a career locomotive engineer and retired from Maine Central Railroad Co. He was a long-time resident of Brewer and resided on Parkway North for more than 40 years. He is survived by his wife, Barbara A. Johns of Ellsworth; two daughters, Karen Douglass and her husband, Andrew and their two sons, Keegan and Keston, and Kelly Monahan and her husband, Stephen and their children, Sarah, Hannah, Jessica and Stephen Jr.; four siblings, Woodrow Johns of Alabama, Robert Johns of Texas, Faye Robinson of Alabama and Janice Kiker of Florida; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; and three siblings, Linda Pressley, Joyce Kemp and Debra Allen. Bobby was a dearly loved father and grandfather, and devoted husband and will be very deeply missed. It was Bobby’s wish that his service be private.
