Ashland 14, Limestone/MSSM 4

At Ashland, Carl Nemer hit two solo home runs as the Hornets earned the five-inning victory. Nemer also singled twice, scored three runs and had three RBIs for Ashland. Jake Paradis also homered for the Hornets, going back to back with Nemer in the second inning, and added two runs and two RBIs. Lucas Hafford doubled and singled with three RBIs for Ashland. Sam Davidson had two singles and an RBI for Limestone/Maine School of Science and Mathematics, while Ty Tracy added a solo home run.

Jonesport-Beals 12, Woodland 8

At Jonesport, Harold Lyons’ two-run single and Terrell Carver’s run-scoring single keyed a four-run sixth inning that snapped an 8-8 tie. Lyons also had a double and finished with three RBIs. Cam Ferris had three singles and an RBI with Carver, Zack Fenton, Sid Look and Sean Milliken contributing two singles each. Carver had three RBIs, Fenton had two and Ferris and Look had one apiece. Jordan Perry’s three singles and RBI, Ed Flannery’s double and single and two RBIs and Ryan Lincoln’s two singles and RBI led Woodland.

Belfast 7, Erskine 5

At Belfast, A.J. Chasse doubled in a pair of runs while Nick Thibodeau had two singles and a run batted in as Belfast defeated Erskine of South China. Mike Berry singled twice and scored a couple of runs for the Lions. Steven Wight had a pair of singles for Erskine.

Lee 7, Dexter 5

At Lee, senior righthander Tim Worster came on with the bases loaded and one out in the seventh inning and struck out the two batters he faced to earn the save as the Pandas held on for the victory. Lee led 7-1 entering the top of the seventh, but Dexter rallied to score four runs and have the bases loaded with one out before Worster came on to end the Tigers’ comeback hopes. A.J. Harris and Dean MacDonald each doubled twice and singled for Lee, while Ryan Beers doubled and singled. Billy Trevette singled twice and Zac Poirier doubled and singled for Dexter.

Ellsworth 12, Central 1

At Corinth, Jordan Carter and Seth Cote each had a three-run home run and a two-run single to lead Ellsworth past Central. Mickey Manning singled twice and hit a solo homer for the Eagles. Brett White doubled in a run for Central.

Stearns 8, Schenck 4

At Millinocket, Kurt Hamilton hit three singles with four RBIs and three stolen bases as the Minutemen earned the win. Cory Barnett added two doubles, a triple and four runs scored for Stearns. Josh Brown had two singles and two RBIs for Schenck of East Millinocket, while Ryan Thompson singled with two RBIs.

George Stevens 12, Searsport 2

At Blue Hill, Jesse Dean doubled twice and singled to drive in three runs and lead the host Eagles past Searsport. Josh Gale doubled and singled with an RBI while Nick Kane added a double and a single for George Stevens. Matt Bagley singled twice and drove in a run for Searsport.

Washington Acad. 8, Sumner 0

At East Sullivan, Mike Lenfesty pitched a two-hitter with seven strikeouts to lead Washington Academy of East Machias by Sumner. Derek Porter hit a two-run single while Ivan Corey had an RBI single for the Raiders. Matt Boyle paced Sumner with a double.

Orono 10, Penobscot Valley 0

At Orono, Sean Kilpatrick pitched a five-inning shutout with five strikeouts and no walks as Orono triumphed. Anthony Cyr had two singles and three RBIs and Phil Benoit two singles and two RBIs for the Red Riots. Dylan Worster singled twice for Penobscot Valley of Howland.

Georges Valley 3, Boothbay 2

At Thomaston, winning pitcher Alec Young walked and scored on an error in the bottom of the eighth as the Buccaneers rallied for the win. Brandon Knight and Ian Anderson connected for RBI singles to tie it in the seventh. Young retired the last 10 men he faced and struck out seven and walked nobody. Joey Hersom had a pair of RBI singles and Tyler Norwood three singles for Boothbay.

Calais sweeps Narraguagus

At Harrington, Jordan Leeman hit a two-run home run to spark Calais by Narraguagus 6-5 in the first game of a doubleheader. The Blue Devils finished the sweep with a 13-4 win in the second game. In the first game, Adam Geel posted two singles and a double for Calais. Jeremy Look and Matt Moore each hit two singles and drove in a run for Narraguagus. In the second game, Sam Rogers hit three singles and a double to lead the Blue Devils. Jordan Leeman added three singles while Josh Gillespie hit two doubles. Colby Tucker paced the Nights with three doubles and a single. Brendan Tenney doubled and singled while Ryan Hatt had two singles.

Rockland 11, MCI 6

At Rockland, Luke Morrill hit two doubles, and struck out 10 to earn the win as Rockland topped Maine Central Institute of Pittsfield. Pat Hanley, Anthony Campagndi and Nick Little each had a single with two RBIs for the Tigers. A.J. Dennis hit a home run and a single while Casey Egerton added a two-run double for the Huskies.

Penquis 12, Piscataquis 2

At Milo, Kiel Lawson singled twice and pitched a complete-game two-hitter with nine strikeouts as Penquis earned the win. Bryan Russell doubled and singled while Brandon Smith had a pair of singles for the Patriots. Brian Hackett singled twice for Piscataquis of Guilford.

Brewer 12, Nokomis 0

At Newport, Brandon Briggs pitched a three-hitter as Brewer powered past Nokomis in five innings. Colby Hutchins hit a two-run double in the first inning while Eric White added a two-run single. Colby Small and Kyle O’Connell each added a two-run single in the fourth for the Witches. Tim Wintle hit two singles to pace Nokomis.

Caribou 17, Fort Kent 4

At Fort Kent, Ted Walker doubled twice and singled to drive in two runs for Caribou in the win. Royce Landeen had two singles and an RBI and Cam Anderson two singles for the winners. Jared Soucy and Kris Guimond had two singles apiece for Fort Kent.

Presque Isle 9, Houlton 6

At Houlton, Brennan Shaw, Steve Ford and Eric Morris each had an RBI bunt single in the seventh inning as Presque Isle rallied for the win. Ethan Braley hit a two-run triple to spark a four-run sixth for the Wildcats. Ian Gervais and Porter Gervais each had two singles (RBI) for Houlton.

Calais sweeps Narraguagus

At Harrington, Tessa Clark pitched nine shutout innings and gave up only three hits over two games to help Calais sweep Narraguagus 12-0 and 13-1. Clark walked only one in the two games and struck out 10. In the first game, Courtney Hill singled twice and drove in two runs to lead Calais. Toni Cole and Alex McVicar each added RBI singles. Brittany Burke doubled for the Knights and Kayla Collora singled. In the second game, Clark aided her own cause with three singles and Honor Wilkinson chipped in with two. Cole added a single and double and Lara Marshall doubled. Kristina Bailey hit an RBI single for Narraguagus.

Medomak Valley 12, Mt. View 0

At Waldoboro, Kayla Vannah tossed a one-hitter with no walks and 11 strikeouts as Medomak Valley shutout Mount View of Thorndike. Tessa Dodge hit a three-run double in the eight-run third inning while Lindsy Ranquist added two hits and two RBIs for the Panthers. Cassandra St. Clair hit a single for Mount View.

Limestone/MSSM 9, Ashland 6

At Ashland, Amanda Allen hit a two-run single in the first inning to help give Limestone/Maine School of Science and Mathematics the lead for good en route to its seventh win. Allen finished with two singles for the Eagles, while Stacy Bernier also singled twice with two RBIs. Whitney Donovan paced Ashland with a double, single and two RBIs, while Crystal Cook singled twice with an RBI.

So. Aroostook 26, CAHS 12

At Dyer Brook, Elizabeth Goodall hit three doubles, two singles, and drove in six runs to power Southern Aroostook by Central Aroostook of Mars Hill in five innings. Jasmine Rockwell had three singles, a double and five RBIs while Sara Crandall posted a triple, a single and four RBIs for the Warriors. Rachel Grew paced Central Aroostook with two doubles, a single and two RBIs. Chelsea Hartin hit a two-run triple while Vicki McIntyre added an RBI triple.

Ellsworth 9, Central 8

At Corinth, Casey Wyman hit into a fielder’s choice to drive in Maggie Harrine for the game-winning run in the eight inning as Ellsworth rallied past Central. Lily Cooper hit a two-run home run to highlight a five-run seventh inning for the Eagles. Kayla Blanchard added a double and a single. Jocelyn Portman had two singles and two RBIs while Michelle Ferrie hit a three-run triple for Central.

Madawaska 18, Wisdom 2

At Madawaska, Kaylie Cyr hit three singles and knocked in three runs to propel Madawaska by Wisdom of St. Agatha. Kristi Morneault had three singles and an RBI for the Owls. Amanda Nadeau hit two singles and drove in three runs while Ashley Beaulieu tripled and singled. Sarah Paradis hit a single for Wisdom.

George Stevens 35, Searsport 11

At Blue Hill, sophomore Allisan Gray got her first career start in the circle and threw a no-hitter as her George Stevens Academy Eagles notched a win. It was the first time since 2007 Lydia Clapp was not the starting pitcher for GSA. Stephi Davis had a triple, two doubles, two singles and eight RBIs for the Eagles. Mindy Carter, Anna Clapp and Stevie Theoharidis each had a double and a single.

Georges Valley 12, Boothbay 0

At Thomaston, freshman Jill Bradbury pitched a no-hitter while striking out 14 batters and walking just two to lead the Georges Valley Buccaneers by the visiting Seahawks. Bradbury also went 4-for-4 with a double, three singles, and four RBIs. Kelsie Thompson had a double and three RBIs. Katlyn Rich had a double and two RBIs.

Orono 4, Penobscot Valley 2

At Orono, Andi Foster (4-3) struck out 10 batters and walked four to lead the Orono Red Riots in a pitchers duel. Sarah Thibeault’s RBI double and Jill Tuell’s RBI single with one out fueled a three-run third for the Riots. Tuell had three singles and Elizabeth Fox added a double for the Red Riots. Kristina Hallett and Molly Woodward each singled for the Howlers of Howland.

Presque Isle 6, Houlton 2

At Houlton, the visiting Wildcats scored three times in the first inning and twice in the second en route to the win. Emily Currie had two singles and Kesley Park a double for Presque Isle. Lainey Herring doubled for Houlton.

Caribou 14, Fort Kent 0

At Fort Kent, Emily Staples pitched a five-inning no-hitter with 11 strikeouts as Caribou triumphed. Kristen Espling hit a two-run homer and a two-run double while Ashley Doucette’s single was Caribou’s other hit.

Presque Isle 6, Houlton 2

Christina Ramsdell threw a four-hitter for Washington Academy of East Machias, striking out two and walking three.

Ban. Christian 8, DI-Stonington 7

At Bangor, Kelly Robinson hit a game-tying, run-scoring single and the winning run scored on an error as Bangor Christian scored four runs in the seventh inning to rally past Deer Isle-Stonington. Brittany O’Kelly and winning pitcher Monica Alexander had the other Bangor Christian hits, both singles. Kelly had her single in the seventh. Janelle Ciomei and Abby Grindle had two singles each for Deer Isle-Stonington and Ciomei had an RBI.

Erskine Academy 5, Belfast 0

At Belfast, righthander Sam Morse scattered five hits, striking out 13 and not walking anyone, and Kaci Hudson had an RBI double and two singles as Erskine Academy of South China triumphed. Hayley Rae and Caroline Carr had two singles each for Belfast and Victoria Overlock tossed a five-hitter and allowed just one earned run.

Julia Nicholas hit two singles with two RBIs and Taylor Cochran doubled. Morgan MacLean singled to account for Jomesport-Beals’ only hit of the contest.

Dexter 16, Lee Acad. 15

At Lee, Sam Conway hit two doubles and a single, scored three runs and had three RBIs as the Tigers held on for the win. Lisa Conway and Shelbee Lancaster each added two singles and two runs scored for Dexter, which withstood a five-run Lee rally in the bottom of the seventh inning. Kellsey Grass paced Lee with a double, three singles, two runs scored and three RBIs, while Ashley Dill doubled and singled with two runs scored.

Stearns 16, Schenck 3

At East Millinocket, Paige Curtis hit two home runs and a single to drive in four runs as Stearns of Millinocket defeated Schenck. Rebecca Leavitt posted two doubles and two RBIs for the Minutemen. Angela Levesque tripled and singled with two RBIs while Monica Deabay added two singles and two RBIs. Ashley Grant had a double, a single and an RBI for Schenck.

Penquis 3, Piscataquis 2

At Milo, Erica Lyford laced an RBI triple and Shelby Weston followed with a sacrifice fly to provide the Patriots with the winning margin in the sixth inning. Holly Smith singled and scored on Lyford’s triple. Winning pitcher Lyford gave up two hits and five walks and struck out seven. Emily Knight hit an RBI double for the Pirates of Guilford in the fifth and Samara Hooper recorded a sacrifice fly in the seventh. Abby Burden took the tough-luck loss after striking out seven and walking three.
