Milo man indicted on arson charges

DOVER FOXCROFT, Maine – The Piscataquis County Grand Jury todayhanded up an indictment against Christopher M. Miliano, 32, of Milo on two counts of arson, one count of theft, one count of burglary, and one count of aggravated assault related to the arson fire that destroyed the downtown section of Milo last September.

The grand jury charges that Miliano set the fire that destroyed a pub, a flower shop, a game room, a former theater and the Milo True Value hardware store and damaged a pizza parlor.

A date for Miliano’s initial court appearance has not yet been set.

The grand jury also handed up an indictment against Lonnie R. Gould, 53, of Greenville who was indicted for robbery and criminal threatening involving a standoff at Indian Hill Trading Post in Greenville last fall.
