Fiber College seeks instructors for courses

SEARSPORT, Maine — Fiber College on Penobscot Bay is now accepting applications from fiber artists for workshops to be taught Thursday-Sunday, Sept. 10-13, at Searsport Shores Ocean Camping in Searsport. Applications and specific information is available at http://www.fibercollege.org/instructorsform.html.

Applications will be accepted until Monday, March 9.

Each year Fiber College offers 40 low cost classes on subjects related to fiber, including spinning, weaving, woodworking, dyeing, knitting, crocheting, bead work and all forms of the needle arts. Instructors may apply to teach classes geared toward any level of student. Instructors are paid for their services and may choose to have a vendor booth to sell kits and supplies, finished work and fiber animals. Demonstration opportunities also will be available.
