BREWER – Eleanor I. Boynton, 93, wife of the late Rodney R. Boynton, one of seven children, died March 12, 2007, at Huggins Memorial Hospital, Wolfeboro, N.H. She was born Jan. 25, 1914, in Eddington, the daughter of Charles and Lettie (Pratt) Morse. She graduated from Brewer High School in 1932. She married Rodney R. Boynton, Nov. 7, 1948, and was a member of the North Brewer-Eddington United Methodist Church. They were married 50 years before Mr. Boynton passed away in 1999. They lived on Middle Road, Falmouth, for 35 years where she was a member of the Falmouth Sewing Circle and an auxiliary member of the Falmouth American Legion Post 164. She lived the last six years at the Ellen Leach Memorial Home, Brewer, where she had many dear friends. One of her favorite past times was making mittens for family and friends. Her mittens have kept many hands warm from the ski slopes of Sugarloaf Mountain to rainy London. She also loved to cook and share her food with anyone in need. She was a very sweet, kind, and generous person, and loved by many. She is survived by her sister, Katie Powers of Eddington; her daughter, Brenda Boynton of Sarasota, Fla.; her son, Richard Boynton and his wife, Denise, of North Conway, N.H.; grandson, John “Jay” Henderson and his wife, Tracy; great-grandchildren, Blake and Mackenzie, all of Bradenton, Fla.; grandson, Robert Boynton and Jessica; and great-stepgrandson, Cody, all of Buxton; stepgrandson, Jason Schoolcraft and his wife, Kim; great-stepgrandchildren, Sydney and Tyler, all of Sebago; stepgranddaughter, Theresa Lipson and her husband, Ed; and great-stepgrandchildren, Chelsea and Brock, all of North Carolina; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three brothers, Harry, Lewis, and Ernest Morse; two sisters, Florence Scripture and Lenora Dunton Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 23, at North Brewer-Eddington United Methodist Church, Eddington, with the Rev. Doctor Tracy Reeves officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Association, 51 U.S. Route 1, Suite M, Scarborough, ME 04070 or to North Brewer-Eddington United Methodist Church.
