A Louisiana private investigator tried to exploit a loophole in an online student financial aid tool to illegally obtain Donald Trump’s tax records during last year’s presidential campaign, federal prosecutors allege in court records.
Jacob Poitraw, 20, of Caribou was one of two inmates at the Aroostook County Jail charged with leaving the scene of a work release program Saturday afternoon in Houlton. Poitraw and Jeston Davis, 25, of Fort Kent, were participating in a community work farm project in Houlton when they were left unattended Saturday afternoon and decided to take a pickup truck from the farm. The two drove to the Houlton Wal-Mart, where an ashtray filled with cigarette butts was stolen from outside the store.
