A Political Action Committee aiming to boost the reelection campaign of U.S. Sen. Susan Collins of Maine saw its ads mistakenly run in Portland, Oregon, instead of in the Maine city of the same name.

NBC reported the error on Monday saying the Republican group, Defending Main Street SuperPAC Inc., spent $20,000 to $25,000 to run ads branding Collins’ Democratic challenger “taxin’ Troy Jackson.”

Sarah Chamberlain, president and CEO of the SuperPAC, told NBC she’s “absolutely furious” about the “ridiculous” error, adding that the Oregon ad is “down now and they’re running it in Portland, Maine.”

A spokesperson from Cross Screen Media, the company that placed the ad in the Oregon market, admitted to the mistake, chalking it up to working on thousands of campaigns.

The spokesperson told NBC that Cross Screen Media refunded the money to the SuperPAC.
