A Montville man who went missing Sunday evening was found early Monday morning by a Maine game warden dog.
Michael McCoy, 46, left his home on foot with his two dogs at about 5:45 p.m. Sunday and did not return. Later that evening, one of the dogs returned home without McCoy, the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife said in a news release.
Friends, neighbors and later Maine State Police searched for McCoy.
The Warden Service was notified at about 10:20 p.m. and joined the search.
At about 2:10 a.m. Monday, Warden Dory Kulis and her dog, Lucy, found McCoy in a wooded area about three quarters of a mile from his home. He was with his other dog and was not injured but was soaked from the heavy rain, the Maine DIF&W said, adding that medical treatment was not necessary.
