A Sept. 11 letter in the BDN claims that Troy Jackson was unvetted like Platner. The primary smear was a 1988 police report.
Isn’t that nearly 40 years ago? Troy was 19 years old. The report says that he punched a guy and pushed his partner, Lana Pelletier. She says she doesn’t remember being pushed or even saying she was.
Is this all the opposition has after extensive investigation into Senate candidate Troy Jackson looking for dirt? Pretty thin to me.
You know him, you know what he has stood for in our Maine Senate over many years. Don’t let these out-of-state wealthy donors lie to you putting out their negative ads.
The BDN last week published a fact check on a recent ad about Troy’s voting record. The ad from a Republican political action committee claims that Troy cast a vote in 2009 that raised taxes on working-class Mainers, which sounds pretty bad. But a state estimate projected the opposite: That it would cut taxes for as many as 90% of residents.
Please review the true records of Troy Jackson, Hannah Pingree, and Matt Dunlap and I think you’ll agree they have earned your vote.
