An estimated 4,375 Hancock County customers lost power after a vehicle hit a utility pole in Southwest Harbor on Monday, Versant Power officials said.

Most of the customers are grouped in the Southwest Harbor and Tremont areas of Mount Desert Island plus one on Little Cranberry Island, according to Versant. The electric company, formerly known as Emera Maine, expects to have power restored to those customers by 9 p.m., officials said.
