A Cumberland County sheriff’s deputy was hurt in a crash on Interstate 295 on Sunday night.
The deputy was driving northbound on I-295 in Freeport at the Brunswick town line about 8:30 p.m. when the deputy lost control of the patrol car, struck a guardrail and rolled over several times, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
The deputy was en route to a domestic disturbance call in Harpswell when the crash happened, the sheriff’s office said.
The deputy was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland with minor injuries.
The patrol car was totaled, and no other vehicles were involved.
The crash remains under investigation.
