LEWISTON, Maine — Maine’s second-largest city is getting some love from a TV show.
The CBS “Criminal Minds” episode that is set to air Wednesday will focus on Lewiston. But it may not be the sort of attention that folks will be thrilled about.
The episode is entitled, “Sick and Evil.” The show stars Paget Brewster, Joe Mantegna and Kirsten Vangsness.
CBS says the plot sends the Behavioral Analysis Unit to Lewiston to investigate a string of murders taking place in haunted houses.
While there’s no indication the episode was filmed in Maine, Brewster is no stranger to the state. She grew up in New England and once said on Twitter she “grew up in Maine and Massachusetts.” She came to Maine in 2016 for shooting of the Kyle Rankin move “The Witch Files.” Brewster plays team leader Emily Prentiss on “Criminal Minds.”
In another tie between the TV show and Maine, in 2015, watercolor paintings by a Cumberland man were used in the set of an episode of “Criminal Minds” based in Barbados.
