Man allegedly gets away with undisclosed sum of cash from Bangor bank

Police are looking to identify the alleged suspect in a robbery that occurred at TD Bank on Stillwater Avenue in Bangor.

Police in Bangor are looking for information about a man who allegedly robbed the TD Bank branch on Stillwater Avenue on Friday afternoon.

Just after 4 p.m., police responded to the bank at 878 Stillwater Ave. after receiving reports of a robbery, Sgt. Wade Betters said in an email.

A single male suspect allegedly made a threat and demanded money from the bank. He left with an undisclosed amount of money before officers arrived, Betters said.

“No one was injured and the suspect did not brandish a weapon,” Betters said.

Officers from the Bangor Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division will be at the scene for a while Friday night, he said.

Police do not believe the public is in any danger and is not releasing additional information at this time.
