CAMDEN, Maine — Two midcoast residents are facing drug trafficking charges after one of them misdialed a police officer while trying to set up a drug deal, according to the Courier-Gazette.
Tyler Collins, 42, of Camden and Katarina Campbell, 39, of Rockport were arrested Friday by Camden police officers.
Collins reportedly called what he thought was the number of a potential buyer to set up a Suboxone sale. The number he mistakenly dialed was that of Capitol police Officer Charles Ball, according to the Courier-Gazette.
Ball played along. After the call finished, he called Camden police and notified them of details of the planned deal. When Collins and Campbell arrived around 9:30 p.m. Friday on Elm Street, police were waiting.
