AUGUSTA, Maine — The Katz building at the University of Maine at Augusta was evacuated Thursday because of an alleged bomb threat, according to Augusta police.

According to a posting on the school’s Facebook page, Augusta police searched the building and no bomb was found.

The Katz building will remain closed the rest of the day, the school reported.

The incident remains under investigation.
