OLD TOWN, Maine — Police have released the identity of a 32-year-old Bangor man killed in a workplace accident Thursday night.

Old Town police Sgt. Michael Hashey confirmed Friday the deceased man is Jon Atwood.

Police were called to 601 Stillwater Ave. shortly after 3:30 p.m. after it was reported a man had fallen off a building.

Atwood was working with a crew installing a roof when he lost his balance and fell head-first to the concrete, a 15-foot drop.

Hashey said police are working with the Medical Examiner’s office and OSHA as the investigation continues.

Police are calling the incident an accidental death. Atwood was pronounced dead at the scene.
