WELLINGTON, Fla. and BROOKLIN – Spencer Latham Murfey Jr., died peacefully at home Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2003. He was the beloved husband of Louise Tefaafana Murfey, originally of Tahiti, French Polynesia; brother and best friend of William W. Murfey of Livingston, Mo.; loving father of Cynthia H. Murfey, Spencer L. Murfey III and Pallyanna Murfey Borrello; caring uncle of Mary Murfey Fernandez; proud grandfather of Peter, Dylan, Tiffani and Pallyanna Borrello. A cattle rancher and philanthropist, Mr. Murfey served on the boards of Corning Advisors and the American Foundation. He was a member of The Los Angeles Yacht Club, Iron Horse and Isle Worth Country Clubs. Services will take place 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, 2003 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Church of the Recessional, 1712 South Glendale Ave., Glendale, Calif.
