Newsroom
The Bangor Daily News employs reporters and photographers across the state, from Portland to Aroostook County. The BDN’s main office is in Bangor, but about half the reporters work from other locations — Portland, Bath, Augusta, Rockland, Belfast, Washington County, Pittsfield, Lincoln and Aroostook County.
The BDN’s production staff all work from the Bangor office. Assignment editors work with reporters and each other to coordinate news coverage and make sure the paper isn’t missing any news. The digital desk reads the stories for errors and posts articles to the website throughout the day, ensuring that the BDN has the most up-to-date and comprehensive news site in the state. And during the evening, the articles are placed on pages for print, which are sent to the BDN’s printing facility in Hampden.
