This marks the 47th year of Maine’s modern-era moose hunt.
This year, 3,705 lucky hunters will get the opportunity to pursue the state’s largest game animal during the 2026 season. The allocation includes 2,645 antlered permits and 1,060 antlerless permits. The first moose hunt week begins Sept. 28.
The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife announced the results of the 2026 Maine moose hunt permit lottery Saturday at the Acton Fairgrounds.
The full list of permit winners, including the weeks and Wildlife Management Districts for which they were drawn, is included below.
