A recognition dinner was held for retiring Chief Financial Officer Tom Potter (left )at the University of Maine at Machias this week with more than 60 faculty, staff and friends attending. Potter has spent 17 years at UMM and plans to travel during his retirement. Mark T. Hatt, a UMM alumni, is the new CFO. Hatt has spent decades as the financial leader of various paper and aerospace industries, most recently as corporate comptroller with Lincoln Paper and Tissue LLC.
