MEDFORD, Maine — Despite two days of searching by ground and by air, the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office, the Maine Warden Service and area volunteers on Sunday had not yet located a 71-year-old local woman who has been missing since Wednesday.
Diana L. Estey of Medford has not been seen since Monday, Oct. 31. However, investigators believe she most likely has been missing from her Medford Center Road residence since sometime on Wednesday.
Estey is 5 feet 2 inches tall, 100 pounds, with gray hair and green eyes. She may be wearing a purple jacket.
Lt. Kevin Adam of the Maine Warden Service said Saturday night that Estey is not believed to have any memory-related problems and that she is known to take frequent walks.
To that end, searchers have focused their attention on local roadsides as well as the area near her home.
Police urge anyone with information to call the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office at 564-3304.
