BIDDEFORD, Maine — A local man was arrested on a drug charge early Wednesday after his vehicle was stopped along the Maine Turnpike in Ogunquit, state police said.

Mason Soto, 26, is facing a charge of cocaine trafficking, Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said.

Trooper Kristy Libritz pulled over Soto, who was traveling north, for erratic driving shortly after midnight, and cocaine was found in his shoes, according to McCausland.

The street value of the 49 grams of cocaine is $4,900.

Soto is being held on $10,000 bail at the York County Jail.
