SACO, Maine — The roof of Saco auto repair shop R.P. Bell Collision has collapsed as firefighters work to get an afternoon blaze there under control, Portland television station WGME, CBS 13, reports.

Authorities have blocked traffic to Barrows Road at Route 1 as a result of the fire.

According to a CBS 13 crew on scene, no firefighters were inside the structure when the roof collapsed. CBS 13 reports firefighters are working to battle the blaze from another building’s roof nearby.

The 9 Burrows Road repair shop has been in business since the 1950s, according to its website, and attracts customers from around Maine and New Hampshire.
