BANGOR, Maine — A memorial ceremony for a Husson University student who died in a skiing accident at Sugarloaf earlier this week will be held at noon Friday, school officials announced.

The Husson community will celebrate the life of Stephen Colvin, 21, of Hoosick, N.Y., who died Tuesday after skiing off an advanced trail into woods at the Maine ski resort. Colvin was a sophomore environmental sciences student and a member of the Husson football team.

Husson University president Dr. Robert A. Clark and campus chaplain Sarah Pringle-Lewis will speak at the event, which will be held at the G. Peirce Webber Campus Center at Peabody Hall.

Bangor-area residents and Husson students and faculty are invited to attend.
