Portland police say woman found dead in car was murdered

PORTLAND, Maine — The death of Margarita Fisenko Scott, 29, of Westbrook, whose body was found inside a vehicle in a motel parking lot at 3:37 p.m. Thursday, has been ruled a homicide by the State Medical Examiner.

The woman’s body was found in the Motel 6 parking lot at 1 Riverside St.

An autopsy was conducted Friday, but the cause of death is not being released at this time, according to a statement from the Portland Police Department.

Anyone who has had any recent contact with Margarita Fisenko Scott or information regarding this investigation is asked to call the Portland Police Department at 874-8604.
