Police, fire officials investigate report of Ohio Street arson

Bangor police and fire officials gather at the site of a suspected arson on Ohio Street.

BANGOR, Maine — City police and fire officials were on the scene of an arson investigation on Ohio Street on Tuesday morning, according to police.

Bangor police Sgt. Bob Bishop said few details were available Tuesday morning, other than the fire department requested police come to the scene at Ohio and James streets.

Authorities were on the scene late Tuesday morning.

Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said around 3 p.m. Tuesday that the case remains under investigation, and that no further details were available.
