PORTLAND, Maine — U.S. Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, is traveling in Southeast Asia where she’s meeting with government leaders and officials in Thailand and Myanmar.
Collins arrived in Myanmar, formerly known as Burma, on Tuesday. She’s meeting with President Thein Sein and other government officials and parliamentary leaders.
She will fly to Thailand on Wednesday to attend the World Economic Forum on East Asia. She plans to meet Thursday with Aung San Suu Kyi, the Myanmar democracy activist and longtime political prisoner who arrived in Thailand on Tuesday in her first trip outside Myanmar in 24 years.
To mark Collins’ visit, the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok is hosting a “Promote Maine” week, during which the embassy will showcase Maine-made products and introduce them to Thai businesspeople.

Five will get you ten that she isn’t paying a dime out of her own pocket.
While she’s there she may as well make a detour to China and Taiwan and take a good look at where all of our jobs went.
Only select RINO’s are invited by the administration to travel in their name.
What say Ms. Collins visits Maine once in awhile? To hell with Myanmar and Thailand, her own constituents are the ones that are hurting. I will never vote for this woman again, never.
Our Senators certainly do like traveling overseas.
