BOSTON — U.S. Sen. Scott Brown has picked up the endorsement of another Maine senator.
On Friday, fellow Republican Sen. Susan Collins called Brown “a refreshing antidote to the polarization that is poisoning Washington.”
Democrats were quick to point out that Brown “canceled out” Collins’s vote in favor of a bill to raise taxes on millionaires — known as the Buffett rule — by voting against it.
The endorsement by Collins comes on the heels of fellow Republican Sen. Olympia Snowe’s decision to back Brown in March.
Snowe, who is not seeking re-election, said Brown is among a dwindling number of lawmakers willing to work across party lines.
Collins and Snowe, both of Maine, are considered two of the most bipartisan Republican senators.
Brown is locked in a tight race with chief Democratic rival Elizabeth Warren.

Who cares?
Shocking development.
I am not sure why the Dems aren’t running stronger candidates against Brown. Brown is a mediocre politician at best, but despite being a plutocrat, he conveys a sort of “working man” image which helps him. Warren will likely suffer the same fate as Coakley.
Anything that Susan Collins does, no matter how trivial and non-surprising, gets extended coverage in the BDN, and of course always positive. Did you expect her to endorse Elizabeth Warren, someone whose pro-consumer views are antithetical to Collins’ pro-business/pro-tax cut views?
