Till Gloger, a 6-foot-8 forward from Germany, has committed to play basketball this fall for the University of Maine men’s team, according to the website europeanprospects.com.

Gloger has been a dominating force for the Paderborn Baskets in the German U19 League (Di Nachwuchs Basketball Bundesliga). He leads the league in scoring (25.2 points per game) and rebounding (13.5 rpg).

According to the website, Gloger is a strong post player with a solid turnaround jump shot. Tulane had also shown interest in him.

If accepted to UMaine, Gloger will join six other international players on the roster: Mike Allison and Justin Edwards of Canada, Kilian Cato of Finland, Alasdair Fraser of Scotland, Noam Laish of Israel and Zarko Valjarevic of Serbia.

The eligibility of all student-athletes is contingent upon admission to the University of Maine and compliance with all NCAA rules, including registration with the NCAA Clearinghouse.

  1. Tulane showed interest?  Is that the same Tulane who went 3-13 in conf  each of the last 3 seasons, and hasn’t had a winning record since 2007?

Another 1 & Done in the AE Tourney is on tap for next season I’m afraid

        1. That’s apparent by his 7 out of 8 seasons posting a below .500 record, not to mention 7 consecutive 1 & Done’s in the AE Tourney.   What a joke UMO is.  No coach in the country would still have a job with that kind of success (or lack there of)

          At UMO they give the coach a 3 yr extension.  :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

UMO Trivia:   MBB started in 1904.  How many Conference Titles have they won during that time????

Answer: A big FAT Goose egg.    As in ZERO00000000000000000000000000000!!!! ;)

1904 is only 4 years away from making this streak of futility span into 3 centuries :)
