The Associated Press

GRAY, Maine — Police say a 26-year-old woman has died as a result of a crash with another car on a slushy road in Gray.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department says Elizabeth Polletto of Portland was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland after Wednesday morning’s crash. Polletto was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police say her Ford Escort went out of control on the slushy Portland Road and spun into the path of a Toyota Tundra pickup truck driven by 57-year-old John Hanley of Raymond. Hanley was taken to Maine Medical with injuries that were not life threatening.
