BDN redacted names and identifiers but the FL news did not and they are in print for all to see….
It is odd indeed that the Bangor Daily sees no reason to redact mentions of Walmart, but sees a reason to redact mentions of other businesses. What could possibly be a compelling reason to do so?
We’ve already reported in articles that police had been investigating leads near Walmart and Hannaford.
I was actually surprised that the Florida station did not remove the phone numbers and dates of birth of those involved.
Way late BDN, but good effort. See the unedited version below.
Some of the details probably should have been redacted from all the versions. Certainly not all of the items that the BDN redacted; I’m thinking phone numbers and home addresses mostly.
Why are the names of the crime scene techs redacted? Aren’t they public employees being cited for line-of-duty work? Just as the police officers are named, I’d think that the crime scene personnel would be named as well. Just strange to me.
Oh, if you redact the last name of “Lisa” one place, you should do it everywhere. I see it mentioned in at least one other place in this document.
And I hope that Mrs Perdomo is able to change her number fairly easily. I’m sure some knuckleheads will find a reason to call her.
So funny that they cross out Lisa’s last name and then refer to Lisa as “Gould” in the next sentence. What a bunch of morons.
