OWLS HEAD, Maine — Four people are accused of robbing a woman of prescription medication, her cellphone, credit card and about $50 in cash, according to police.
The four were arrested Monday night and charged in connection with the robbery.
The victim was visiting an acquaintance in Owls Head Monday when she was assaulted about 9:30 p.m., according to Knox County Sheriff Donna Dennison. She suffered bruises to her face as a result of the assault and was taken to Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport, where she was treated and released for her injuries, the sheriff said.
Arrested were Jessica Elwell, 22, of Owls Head for robbery, stealing drugs, theft and violating conditions of release; Kristi Hall, 22, of Owls Head for criminal conspiracy, stealing drugs and theft; Derrick Bustard, 19, of Rockland for criminal conspiracy and Kimberly Vieira of St. George for violating conditions of release.
The four were taken to the Knox County Jail in Rockland.
Bail was set at $10,000 cash for Elwell, $5,000 cash for Hall and Bustard, and no bail for Vieira.
The initial court appearance for the four, if they are not released on bail earlier, is Feb. 15, in 6th District Court in Rockland.
Deputy John Hansen and Sgt. Michael Sprague are investigating the case.
