PORTLAND, Maine — Investigators have been analyzing blood found in the basement of a Maine home where a missing toddler was last seen six weeks ago, an official said Saturday.

The blood was found early in the investigation into Ayla Reynolds’ disappearance from her father’s home in Waterville, state police spokesman Stephen McCausland said. The state crime laboratory has been running tests on it since then, but it was unclear when results would be available.

Ayla’s father, Justin DiPietro, reported her missing Dec. 17. He had put her to bed the night before and said she wasn’t there the next morning.

McCausland called the discovery of the blood “troubling.” He declined to discuss how much blood was found in the basement or how long it might have been there.

Ayla was 20 months old when she disappeared. She had been staying with her father at the time in the house where DiPietro lives with his mother. Her mother, Trista Reynolds, lives in Portland.

DiPietro told police she was wearing green pajamas with polka dots and the words “Daddy’s Princess” on them and had a soft cast on her broken left arm.

DiPietro, his mother and a third adult were home the night of Dec. 16, and police have questioned all three, McCausland said.

“We believe they have not given us the full story,” he said.

Both of Ayla’s parents participated in a vigil Saturday on the City Hall steps in downtown Waterville.

It was the first time the two came face to face since their daughter’s disappearance, said Bob Vear, a friend of the DiPietro family who organized the vigil. They spoke privately for about 10 minutes before giving each other a hug, Vear said.

DiPietro declined to discuss the discovery of the blood.

“I’m not going to answer any questions about it, but I will say this: If there was something there, I don’t think I’d be standing here with you right now,” he told the Morning Sentinel newspaper in Waterville.

A woman who answered DiPietro’s mother’s cellphone hung up after being asked about the blood.

Reynolds could not be reached for comment.

In an interview earlier in the day with the Morning Sentinel, she said she was preparing herself for any outcome.

“As a mother, as a parent, you need to mentally prepare yourself for the good, the bad, the worst,” she told the newspaper. “I have been preparing myself for all of it during the last 40 days. I have told myself anything can happen. I could get the greatest news or I could get the worst news ever.”

The blood was among hundreds of pieces of potential evidence that were removed from their home as part of a criminal investigation into the girl’s disappearance. The discovery of the blood was first reported Saturday by WCVB-TV in Boston.

Ronald Reynolds, who is Trista Reynolds’ father, said DiPietro hasn’t been forthcoming with his version of what happened or what he knows. DiPietro has said he took a polygraph test, but has declined to say what the results were.

“They haven’t given the full story, but this family has gone through so much pain, so much hurt,” said Reynolds, who lives in Portland. “We’re going into two months now and don’t know anything, and all we get is the runaround.”

Vear said he was first made aware of the blood sample Dec. 24, but he doesn’t think it’ll amount to anything.

“I cut myself at home all the time,” he said. “It could be Justin’s, it could be the baby’s. There were five or six people in the house that night.”

  1. You know whoever  has her, or whoever knows what happened to this little girl, grow some ***** and just tell everyone!!..enough, is enought!

        1. I agree. Hopefully this is a wakeup call to DHHS. Drug addicts should not be allowed to ‘care’ for their children.  If she is found alive,  she should be put in the care of a loving family…. not one focused on drugs and publicity.

          1. Especially those known to DHHS to have troubles with Bath Salts, Meth, Cocaine and other hard drugs. As well as those knows to have a violent record. I do not know if Justin’s has a police record or drug and/or alchohol issue. I do believe the police do know and if DHHS placed here there they should’ve known.

      1. Please stop with such idiocy. There is no god that should be obvious to any one following these kinds of stories.

        1. I find it painfully ironic that someone by the name of “Treehugger9” would accuse me of idiocy.

Having said that, I must point out that I am not a religious person. I was simply expressing my idea of what happened to her in such a way that didn’t come off blunt and heartless. It was much better than saying, “I think she’s dead.”

          1. “Xiala” is a gourmet Japanese dish and my username is irrelevant. I brought up your username because being a tree hugger is idiotic, especially in Maine.

Let’s see if I can dumb this down for you:
“God” is a reference that many can relate to and I was simply using it in such a way that people could understand that I believe she’s deceased without having to actually come out and say it in harsher terms.

I respect that other people have strong beliefs in God and I have no problem referring to it. Don’t tell me that you’ve never used the word “hell” before.

At any rate, I understand that much of  what I’m saying is way over your head so this is where I stop letting you waste my time.

    1. If the $30K reward, national attention and a potential book deal won’t do it (and apparently it won’t) then it’s going to require an arrest warrant.  Hopefully the cops will be ready to act on one soon.

  2. Missing 6 weeks ago and the blood was ‘found early’ and they STILL don’t know whose it is?? How can that be? I think that might be kinda important..

    1. In theory, couldn’t it  be the blood of anyone on the planet? These investigtors are not going to tell the public everthing they know until after they have enough information to present a case to the Grand Jury that will produce an indictment.

      1. But how come it hasn’t been analyzed yet???? Yes, it could be anybody’s…. why not find out if it is Ayla’s????? .. like RIGHT AWAY!Why was this news broke by an out of state tv station?

          1. Wake up call dna test does NOT take over 30 days… more like 3. AND to determine if it’s human or animal would take less than one hour. Soooo stop covering for obvious another totally screwed up Maine police investigation!

    2. I think they wanted more evidence to point the finger at one specific adult in that house. Unfortunately they must be protecting one another.

    3. Unlike CSI or other crime scene TV shows, it takes time to run the necessary tests to determine whose blood it is, what type of blood it is or even if it is human blood.  Not to mention that they are probably running tests on more than one crime at a time.

      1. Less than 1 hour to determine human or animal. 3 days tops for DNA sooooooooooo yea another botched police investigation by the Maine Clown Cops!

          1. Just ignore that commentor, alot of commentors on here are first time and i have a feelings its a family member playing games(family members of His side)

          2. I noticed that they posted several times throughout this thread; generally touting the same thing. Curious as to how this person “knows” so much, and how the rest of us know so little? *shakes head*

        1. Maybe they already know whos blood it is. It did take them six weeks to release that they found the blood in the first place. Just because the police arent telling you what you want to hear doesn’t mean they botched it. If you think you can do a better job, join the police force. until then stfu. How do you know it takes 3 days? I’m fairly certain it can take longer. Just because a paternity test takes 3 days, doesn’t mean this will. If they rush it, they can do a sloppy job and contaminate the sample.  Get off your high horse and read a book or something.

  3. HMMM ! wonder how it got there ? Just because you can make babies , doesn’t necessarily mean you should !

  4. Really not feeling very optimistic about this poor little girl being found “alive and well.”  From the beginning, much of the story has not made sense.

  5. They’re just getting around to an analysis of the blood, or it’s taken this long to do an analysis of the blood?  I would’ve thought that they would have expedited the process since the “blood was found in the basement early in the investigation…”

    1. Unlike on shows like CSI it takes time to run tests sometimes even weeks depending on the test and, unlike CSI, the labs have to work on multiple crimes and cannot focus on just one crime at a time.

  6. Maybe they should have searched the basement the same day the report was made. Hmmm Sounds kind of bizarre to me. :/

    1. It says the blood was found “early in the investigation.”  They just have not released that info until now.  I would assume they did search the basement the day she was reported missing.

    2. It was probably picked up by the equipment they borrowed from the Mass State Police.  That “measurement” looking thing was actually a 360 degree laser camera that records crime scenes, including blood evidence and spatter not visible to the naked eye.  The family didn’t have access to the house until it was released back to them…so they did collect all evidence.  Testing takes time because most labs have significant back logs.

  7. You would think the blood would be analyzed the moment it was found.  And I would think the results would be available pretty quickly.  Sounds like a shoddy investigation just ripe to be challenged in court and the perpetrator will get off on a technicality.

    1. Another reason to have a volunteer civilian police review board with subpoena powers.
In the 6th week of a potential murder/pedophilia case the forensic investigators in charge decides to test the basement floor for blood after watching an episode of CSI the night before.
The Maine voter and taxpayer needs to take back ownership of the Criminal Justice system
and set standards for hiring and firing the inmates that are running the asylum.

      1. The story says the blood was found early in the investigation – not in the 6th week, as you allege.

          1. It’s more than likely that detectives have uncovered a lot more physical  evidence than just blood.  However, usually they deter from making  public certain aspects of the case,  which I’m sure has been piling up over these past six weeks.  Whoever is responsible for Ayla’s disappearance will undoubtedly be shaken by this revelation.

To reveal just one clue, that may, or not be related to a tragic event-hopefully not -must have some significance to the investigation.   Of course, right now, it’s as much a mystery to me as it is to a lot of people as to what is happening.  Meanwhile,  rabid critics choose to assail police on the investigation, whilst chewing them out for not  having the analysis back from the lab’.  There’s a lot they know, but are not quite ready to reveal it.

          2. This could also be a trojan horse baiting the perp to create beads of sweat on his/her upper lip
hoping they might revisit the crime scene evidence and get caught because the phone taps are in place and 24/7 surveillance is in effect, eh?

          3. That’s what (I think) it looks like.

Something is about to break.   I said that last week.   But I think it’s getting closer.

      2. We used to have a volunteer civilian police force, commonly known as “Vigilance Committees” or, more commonly, “Vigilantes”. Job security at Crowe Rope Co,

        1. That;s been replaced by restorative justice.

          What is restorative justice?

Restorative justice is a theory of justice
that emphasizes repairing the harm caused or revealed by criminal
behaviour. It is best accomplished through cooperative processes that
          include all stakeholders.

Practices and programs reflecting restorative purposes will respond
          to crime by:

identifying and taking steps to repair harm,
          involving all  stakeholders, and
transforming the traditional relationship between communities and
their governments in responding to crime.

Some of the programmes and outcomes typically identified with
          restorative justice include:

          Victim offender mediationConferencingCirclesVictim
          assistanceEx-offender
          assistance

          1. When judges, prosecutors, or cops fabricate or withhold evidence or testimony to get a conviction, why can’t they be punished. It’s rare but we all know that there are people incarcerated right now that are innocent. If DiPietro did it then his life should and will be over.

      3. Unlike CSI where testing take hours or at the most over night, real life testing takes days and sometimes weeks depending on the type of test and how many other crimes are being investigated.

    2. There have actually been guilty defendants released by juries because they thought the tests took to long to complete, unlike the hours it takes on CSI.

Labs have to take the correct amount of time to ensure that the tests are accurate and they also have to follow exacting procedures so that a good defense attorney cannot make the results looks biased or contaminated.

    3. It seems a few here are having trouble understanding this: “The state crime laboratory has been running tests on it since then…”

  8. The state police spokesman says the blood was found early in the investigation.  The blood is being analyzed but it is not known when the results will be available.  Are you serious??!!  Ayla is a child who has been missing for over a month!  WHY is it taking so long for this blood analysis??

    1. it’s taken so long because we dont live in the world of horatio cane or bones. Want the results faster, pay more taxes.

    2. Do you really think that the good looking buxom blonde or the punked out brunette with all kinds of tats  are hard at work at the State Police Crime Lab? Maybe the problem is that the CSI staff in Maine does not drive around in tricked out Hummers. Get real this is real life and real humans are doing the investigation.

  9. Justin DiPietro…. PLEASE , in the name of ” AYLA”….. tell the authorties, whose blood, they found in ,,,YOUR …basement; after all it is ” YOUR HOUSE” !!! The blood did NOT magically appear there !! AYLA deserves at least this much from you, as her  father!!!!

      1. I am not saying it”s HIS blood, for certain…. just saying he should know WHOSE  it is. I”ts  in  HIS house….wouldn”t you agree, that  whatever  transpired in that basement, he would KNOW about the situation!!!

        1. There could be blood in my house and I don’t know whose blood it is. I am gone on weekdays from 7 am until around 6 pm everyday and gone about 6 hrs every Sundays. Some Saturdays I am home and other Sat I am not

      2. Or maybe his cat, if he has one, killed a critter.  That would leave blood also.

Or maybe he has tools and does work down in the basement and he cut himself working on something.

        1. Well the boy lives in the basement, so I doubt he has a workshop down there.  And if it were an animal they would know that right away.  They can tell human blood from animal quite fast.  So, I think it’s safe to assume it’s human and not Justin’s.  Beyond that it’s extreme supposition.

      3. I bet they know whose blood it is and have the results, I think the MSP is going to finally leak out info here and there seeing how everyone has made public appearances and one of them will slip up, crack under pressure turn themselves in, etc.

    1. Right if blood is in the basement of his house he would know where it came from.  The father knows something.  He has claimed he knows nothing if it is found he knows something or it was him who harmed her…..he should go straight to jail and placed in a dark dark cell., and if he passed the lie detector test…I am sure he would be the first to tell everyone,,,, unless he did not pass it and that is why the comment….family not tell the whole story…..

  10. CSI isn’t real life. You dont get the results of a blood test in an hour. It can often take 6 weeks to a year. If you want the results faster, pay more taxes.
Sadly, the statistics show, this little girl probably isn’t coming home. If her family is responsible, I hope they bring back stoning. If they are responsible, they have wasted millions of tax dollars covering up their crime.
I hope she’s found alive, and taken far away from these terrible parents.

  11. ok, is this not crazy?  what?  6 weeks later….. now they found blood early?  but don’t have results? after being so tight lipped, they release this?

    1. Of course they do, and I would hope so.. Geeeeezzzz Louise, It is their job, not ours to gossip about or spread rumors about… Just the facts please when they are ready to be released..

  12. Blood can be easily tracked.  I broke my finger and left blood on a bank door before and they took fingerprints when it got robbed, they thought it was me.  I still think the dad did this, i wish he would confess and get it over with.  He will only get 20 years

      1. First of all it was not me it was someone else, and my blood was on the bank door becasue i went to do a deposit duh

        1. Right, but the blood allowed your “fingerprint” to be more visible. Unless you’re saying they had time to test your DNA for genetic similarities before apprehending the real robber?

        2. What on earth are you talking about?  They didn’t “track” you through your blood, at least not 20 years ago they didn’t.  The only way a person can be identified cold with an unknown blood sample at a crime scene is through CODIS, which did not exist 20 years ago.  And even today they would have had to have gotten a DNA sample from you at some point before the robbery.  So, please say something sensible because none of us knows what you mean.

          1. dkenzie didn’t say it happened 20 years ago.  He said he left a bloody fingerprint on the door, and when the bank was robbed less than an hour later, the police focused on the bloody fingerprint they found on the door, assuming it came from the person who actually robbed the bank.

        3. Never meant to say it was you, I was being lazy.  I said that they tracked you by using your finger print (that just happened to be in blood) not your blood.

    1. So what does this have to do with this case?  What does getting a fingerprint from a blood smear have to do with testing blood?  Or are you saying that blood can be tracked as in left behind, etc, not tracked as in DNA tracking from the blood.  Just curious, thanks.

        1. But they have to retrieve a sample of YOUR blood to know that what they found was yours, they cant just take a sample of blood and go “oh that belongs to John Smith that lives at 17 fairytale lane” how would they know, without having something to compare it too?….which also means they would have to get blood samples from both parents to be able to analyze if this blood had the same DNA as them, for it to be Ayla’s!

          1. Which they will do that if that comes down to the point.  Someone is obviously lying and it is a parent

    1. From your link

“The process of identifying a victim might be relatively quick or it can be quite lengthy. In some instances, not every victim can be identified.”

      Notice the quite lengthy part?

  13. Surprised they even released that information.  Usually, it’s “nothing new to report.”  Or, “still under investigation.”   Something must be happening.

The blood they claim to have found, could be just one clue of many police already have.  Usually they prefer to maintain silence until an arrest is made.

Something has to give, it seems.  If the parties closely linked to the investigation didn’t know about the blood, that could come as a shock.   Perhaps, that’s what police want.

    1. For them to release this news, it would seem like they should, might, or have him locked up, for fear of a vigilante happening????  yes    no???

      1. That’s a tough question.  I haven’t yet figured what the police motive is for releasing this. But  I have an idea.

By releasing this information,  the occupants of that home on the night Alya disappeared, are gong to be very uncomfortable.

The spotlight has been sharply  re-focused on them and their unwillingness to co-operate with police.  All must be aware that a 20-month-old girl just didn’t get up and leave the house on her own accord.  And, as police say, how could anyone break in and kidnap the little girl while her father, grandmother and others, sat in a room close by?

The grandmother told the media: “I didn’t hear nothing.”  The next day said “I wasn’t in the house.”  She is already distancing herself from the investigation as much as she can.

We can’t just point to one individual, when all of them  must be  aware of what transpired.  I can only guess that Alya was either murdered, or, spirited away to another house not far from her father’s home.  Personally, I  hope like many others that the latter is true.

      2. There could be numerous reason they released it, the culiprit come forward for less time, or they could just be releasing it to let everyone know.  I do hope if its Justin he gets life in Prison

  14. I am so sad. I truly believed little Ayla was safely tucked away with a relative somewhere, perhaps out of Maine. Now this.

    1. Don’t give up.  There’s still a good chance that Alya is being taken care of elsewhere by either a friend or relative.

  15. Hmmmm this is not looking good when McCausland said “We believe they have not given us the full story.” I wonder what is making him think that?  Something is there that is not being said.    Is this the first time we have heard from the investigation that they do not think the family members in the house are giving the full story?  Something happened in that home and they are not talking….the truth will come out…and all members should go to jail if they knew anything.

  16. “”We have questioned the three adults that were there in the home that
night,” McCausland told The Associated Press. “We believe they have not given us
    the full story.”

No kidding Steve, did you think they were just going to come out and admit to
knowing everything?  Over a month later that is the best you got?

  17. If ever you thought that the state police were incompetent, you now have your proof. They can’t solve anything; they’re better at shooting people. Takes less effort and brains.

  18. Within a day they knew the blood type and they knew Ayla’s blood type. They knew the amount of blood and they knew Ayla’s body size.  They brought in homicide investigators. They weren’t searching for an alive baby. They were searching the river and every other place they could think of that he may have placed a body. Just saying, I knew when Frisk and a few other top names were called in immediately we had a homicide (people who are called in when a homicide exists). Logic spoke that they weren’t searching door to door pretty early on, other then to ask questions, like, what have you seen?

Nancy Grace’s team also were asking questions and doesn’t want her name mud, she was prosecuting him very early on.

  19. Thanks for posting this story.  I didn’t want to see this turn into a cold case.  Makes it a difficult case when they lawyer up.

    1. I read your link about what happened 12 years ago, and it says the FBI agreed to 40 major reforms. It looks like to me any problems were fixed a long time ago, a lot changes in 12 years. What is your point to bring this up? Like you said, “was being run”, past tense.

      1. thanks for taking the time to check the link.
There is no reason for you to trust me and I understand that.
Please take the time to view the new documentary called

Exoneration of Convicted Man in 1981 DC Murder Brings Questions To Other Cases
         Wednesday, 25 Jan 2012

        WASHINGTON
        – Two years after DNA exonerated a District man for a 1981 murder, a
federal task force has answered a haunting question. Were others sent to
prison under similar circumstances? The U.S. Attorney’s Office says no.

        Donald
Gates was sent to prison after an FBI agent testified his pubic hair
was found on the woman he was accused of killing. It was a claim under
oath that was later found to be wrong.

  20. Keep encouraging mindless uneducated half wits to reproduce…good idea.

How about encouraging them NOT to reproduce!!!

  21. This news makes me feel sick. But, it STILL doesnt mean anything, except that the police have some motive for releasing this now…after all this time.

  22. They found blood. So what. I have a pool of blood on my deck where I almost sliced my hand of using a skill saw 3 years ago. This finding unless it is hers and it is significant is useless. What a waste on reporting this…

      1. Not really. There are so many variables that have to be taken into consideration before blood findings are relavant. Obviously, the amount considering this is a small child but also any kind of splatter patterns or sprays, type, location, age, transfer blood stains, and whether or  not there was an attempt to cover/clean it with bleach, , ect.  A single spatter of blood is not enough to determine the area of origin at a crime scene and not every result of BPA will qualify as incontrovertible evidence.
We’ve all cut ourselves at one point or another in our homes. Its how that blood is collected and analyzed with variables listed above that will determine whether or not its useful or admissible.

  23. We don’t live in a world where TV shows are reality! This isn’t Law and Order, CSI, Snapped, or any other crime related TV show where test results, arrests, and conviction happens all in the course of an hour long episode.    The complex methods of proper testing takes time. Surely the nature of this investigation puts these particular results at a high priority level, but even then it can take weeks to retrieve that data.  For the public to feel privy to these results (or any other findings) before this child is found and/or an indictment is issued is baffling to me. Ayla has weighed heavy on everyones mind. Nothing is more important then finding this poor child. I pray she is found unharmed and the person/s involved held accountable, but we also need to understand that NOTHING is going to be released to the public that could in ANY WAY shape or form jeopardize this investigation. For now, nothing matters except finding this child and if it takes incomplete reports in the BDN then so be it. So long as it keeps this baby and the importance of finding her in the media..  .  .

  24. So much for a Saturday night at home with your child….nope, let’s have a party.  Old enough to have a kid…..act like a father.

  25. http://www.thebostonchannel.com/r/30322519/detail.html………..Multiple law enforcement sources also told Team 5 Investigates that Reynolds’ father left the police station when he was shown crime scene photos of luminol-enhanced blood stains taken at the home.
DiPietro did not return several phone calls from WCVB-TV. In previous weeks he has said publicly, “I would never do anything to hurt my child.”

  26. First of all i lost my father six years ago so please leave him out of it.  Second of all its not really funny. Third of all, i was making a deposit, hand bleeding, blood left on door, bank got robbed twenty minutes later.  Guy and gal is in jail still as of today

  27. The blood was among hundreds of pieces of potential evidence that were removed from their home as part of a criminal investigation into the girl’s disappearance. The discovery of the blood was first reported Saturday by WCVB-TV in Boston.   ( This is the paragraph that gets me)

  28. Someone in that house was watching too much in the past about the JonBenet Ramsey case, basement death also.  Man, those must have been some good drugs or booze to let 6 people sleep through it.  Can’t wait until the guilty party is caught.

  29. poor child!!!…I know if that was my child and i was “innocent” I would give the police every detail of that night that I knew of! We all know that sadly enough, she’s in God’s hands!

  30. I wonder if she fell down the basement stairs while the adults were maybe partying?  Then had to cover it up somehow.  I don’t know, maybe I’m watching too many CSI shows…

  31. You can stop blaming the Mother now, it was either him or one of the two that live there.  I don’t believe he put her to bed 6 weeks ago, he put her somewhere else.

    1. Maybe if the mother thought more about her child than herself, Ayla would still be alive. This is a prime example of why DHHS should remove children from the care of drug addicts.

      1. Why would you say such a thing?  Alcoholism is a disease — she seeked out professional help to deal with this.  She made sure that her child was in the safe hands of her mother and sister before entering treatment.  Treatment would have been chosen by Trista in order to be a better person and mother so that she could care for her children.  It was Justin who came and took the child from a safe environment and look where she is now — OH WAIT, we don’t know where she is because dad “lost” her.

        1. A disease is something you dont CHOOSE to have. People that dont choose to drink dont become alcoholics.  I hate all that AA/ NA crap, ‘its not your fault that you’re a low life, blame everyone but yourself’. Thats what drug addicts do…. blame everyone else for their problems. Its idiotic, if you chose to be a drug addict, you need to take responsibility for YOUR actions. If she thought more about her children than getting high, maybe ayla would be safe right now.  DHHS obviously didn’t do their job if she just recently decided to get clean.
Okay, so she decided to get treatment. Thats awesome… why would she let the child be with someone she clearly thinks is unfit? Even if it was out of her control, there is a program called child services. She could have called them….  and demanded they remove her child from the care of a drug addict.
I highly doubt the father lost her. He probably knows exactly where she is.

          1. I am a very proud mother of two children — one is a Senior at Maine Maritime Academy and a daughter that will be attending Emerson College in Boston next year.  They are secure, happy kids with a passion for achieving their goals — I couldn’t ask for more.

Just because I don’t agree with tearing apart a mother who is living the worst nightmare possible doesn’t make me a bad mother…it seems there’s a lot of people like you out there that like to judge people based on their words.  You assume I wouldn’t make a good mother because I don’t like people abusing other human beings.  You couldn’t be more wrong…I’ve worked throughout my children’s lives to provide for them — I’m just not a person who needs to rip someone else apart to make myself feel better.  Good luck with that, your good at it.

  32. I’ve not read your other posts at this point, but probably the problem is that you suggest waterboarding to get desired information.  When this country’s police start torturing citizens to attain its goals, then we’re no better than any totalitarian state.  If you were subjected to waterboarding, or any torture, you would tell them whatever they wanted to hear just to get them to stop.

    1. First of all, take a deep breath.  I was EXAGGERATING.  Of course, no one in this country should be waterboarded or taken to a back room for an interview with Rusty ViceGrips.

Legal methods and techniques should be applied to attempt to determine information being withheld.  If it were my daughter that was missing, I’d want all that could be done to find her.

P.S.  IMO, Just because someone disagrees with a post doesn’t mean it should be flagged.. I like to know other people’s views even if I disagree with them.

      1. That’s fine.  I wasn’t upset, and I didn’t flag your posts. I do agree that I would want everything done possible to find her if she were my child.

  33. This is JUST beyond disgusting!! How could you say you have no idea what has happened to his Daughter.  How could he sleep at nite knowing that his little girl wearing “Daddy’s little princess” pj’s was missing and that there was and has been blood in the basement?? Then when they call him to question him about the blood the women who answered hangs up…tell me they don’t have a clue where she is…BULL S^*T!!! Hope all that were involved rot in HELL!!!

  34. I so agree with some comments below. I belive God has care of this little baby now, so sad but I guess we all pretty much know by now this is the case. Someone in that house knows what happened to this little angel, there were that many people in that house and no one knows what happened to her. Speak up and tell the truth, let this little baby rest in peace or be found. I wish I could say what I get for a feeling about this whole thing, I have had a vision about this from the time I heard it, I cant shake it and I never will. But in this society, I guess visions of things like that, people think your off your rocker so I have kept it to myself, but its been hard. All I can say is set yourself free to  this one male in that house.

  35. I would think the police know by now if it was Aylas blood or not. I still believe the mom had someone take the baby.

    1. What do you base this on?  She didn’t have the care of the child at the time.  Is she a ninja and was able to sneak into a small house full of adults and children, take the child, spirit her away somewhere and not be seen or heard by anyone?  No, the most obvious explanation is surely the right one, especially in this case, and that is someone already in the house did away with the child for a reason, and the reason could quite plausibly be that this person didn’t want to pay child support for the next 16 years.  Or, they hurt the child very badly, and were trying to avoid a murder charge.  Either way, nothing at all points to the mother or her family doing anything to disappear the baby.

  36. It seems to me that the Maternal Grandmother or her Aunt (Trista’s sister) would have reason to take the baby away from her Father seeing that she wasn’t being taken care of properly and having being kicking and screaming when they gave her to him.  I refuse to believe anything else.  I just hope she is found soon so that we can see her little angelic smile on TV.

    1. Maine most likely had to send the sample away to be tested, where there is almost certainly dozens of samples already waiting to be tested.  These labs get samples from all over the country and that’s what takes so long.

  37. I think they know whos blood it is,they just arent telling the public ,they want  a confession to find her

    1. I haven’t read or heard anything at all concerning a Psychic, but I seriously believe someone should look into contacting one!  I know for certain cases are solved by Psychics.  I’m not sure if anyone remembers a young woman from Conneticut a number of years ago that was cut up, packed up in a box and buried in New Hampshire.  A Psychic led authorities to her.  I know this for a fact,  as she was a first cousin to my X-husband.

I do believe I made a suggestion about a Psychic early on in a prior post.  Little tid-bits are starting to fall together, so maybe they in fact don’t need one at this point.

I have been hoping that Ayla would be found alive and healthy, but this “blood” is causing me to think more on the negative side.  God Bless her!

  38. I hope people with leave this beautiful little girl’s poor mother alone now and stop blaming her for Ayla’s disappearance.  She must be so devastated right now.  The authorities are leaking little bits of information to apply pressure on the people inside that house.

  39. That must be the slowest flipp’n blood lab in the world, come on ….. Missing kid !! Can’t they get the results in a matter of hours …. This should be a top priority case.

  40. How sad, the police and nobody else is telling the whole truth. This child deserves better and It appears she always did.

  41. It doesn’t seem that anyone is telling the whole truth  .Ayla deserves better and it appears she always did. How sad.God’s love and light Baby Ayla,

  42. Please people do you really think Rosco and Enis are working this case?  At this point, they know exactly whose blood and how much was in the basement. If it hadn’t been relevent to the case they obviously wouldn’t have released it to the news media, that would have been meaningless.

I think we all now know what her unfortunate fate was and who is responsible. Someday he will come forward or the general public will take matters into their own hands.

    1. At 1:03 in the video, Trista states the blood “of my daughter’s”.  Is she just guessing or have the police told her it was?  I believe the latter, that she was told it was Ayla’s blood.

      1. If I was the mother, I would be assuming it was, even if the police wasn’t telling me. Common sense would tell me that they wouldn’t release random blood in dad’s cellar if it didn’t have anything to do with Ayla. They know if that blood has been there days, weeks or years by now. They obviously knew within hours the blood type and Ayla’s blood type. If someone months ago had cut their hand or it was deer blood they aren’t going to announceanonymous blood in the news paper leading people to believe it just might be Ayla’s, that would be ignorant. They know 90% or more its hers. Maybe not all the DNA is back, but enough to release it in the paper.

  43. The police dont want this to turn into another Casey Anthony case.  They want to make sure that when they bring the mother in, the charges stick and she goes away for a LONG time.

    1. The police dont want this to turn into another Casey Anthony case.  They
want to make sure that when they bring the father in, the charges stick
and he goes away for a LONG time.

    2. Why are they going to bring in Trista?  She didn’t even have charge of the child.  She was in the house with her FATHER, his sister and a girlfriend, along with two other children, and, supposedly, Ayla.  Please tell us why they are going to bring anyone not living in the house at the time?

    3. You mean when they bring the FATHER in.  The mother had nothing to do with this.  I just knew some bonehead would still try to blame her.  First you Justin groupies have Trista sneaking in the house past Justin’s sister and now you are putting her going into the basement and in the same place Justin slept?  Good grief.

      1. It is really disheartening to see the level of ignorance found among those who have commented on this story.  There is no logic involved, they just blame the mother despite the mountain of evidence stacked against the father and his co-conspirators.

    4. Will you be have the backbone to apologize to Trista if we find that Justin is the one responsible for Ayla’s disappearance?

  44. So the parents have talked face to face. Interesting. All I know is that if the father is found guilty and/or confesses, I won’t be on this comment thread because OldWench will be all puffed up and gloating like the dickens and will be absolutely impossible.

      1. It will be interesting to see what will be said when the story comes out…I’m thinking that regardless the judgemental critters will be all over the comment boards against the mother.  She was beneath them from the beginning when it was reported that she was in rehab.  Shame on those who have a problem and are together enough to seek out and accept help — I can’t imagine that she is not struggling everyday with her addiction with the worry of where her child is and if she has been hurt.  I personally shout out my support for Trista, I hope if you read these boards that you feel that at least a few people feel for your tremendously terrible situation.  I hope your little girl makes it home soon.  She looks like a happy well cared for little one.

  45. On average it takes 3-10 days to determine paternity, otherwise it takes up to 2 weeks to scan 13 dna loci & can take even  longer if there is a substantial backlog.

  46. I don’t know who is guilty but hope that when they are caught they have a speedy trial and a punishment that fits the crime!   After reading this story and some of the previous ones I have come to the conclusion that there should be a law against reporting the news with lack of knowledge.

  47. The police don’t just leak information like this for no reason.  They did it to apply pressure to the people in that house.  They are giving the father and his family and girlfriend one last chance to come clean and tell the truth.  The sister and girlfriend are going to lose their kids and end up in prison right along with DiPietro.  As soon as those test results come back you can bet your booty they’ll present it to the grand jury and get an indictment…probably three indictments.

    1. Yes….cause the police give alleged criminals chance after chance to come clean!!!! Is there any logic behind that comment?

      1. Perhaps by giving out this bit of information they are hoping that one of the mothers in the house that night might feel compelled to come forward with what really happened. Maybe they can still save themselves and their own ability to keep and raise their children instead of sharing a prison cell with Justin.

        1. Completely agree.  They have to spit it out, whatever they know, and they will do if they want to keep their own children with them.  It may be harder for the sister cause these DiPietros seem to be hanging together.  They can hang separately for all I care.

      2. One person in that house harmed Ayla.  Two other adults who were in that house know what happened and aren’t telling the police.  If the secret keepers don’t come forward and tell the truth all three of them are going to be charged with murder.  Anyone who would keep this secret is unfit to raise a child.  They’re running out of time.  Just ask that guy who witnessed the girl in Bangor killed by someone else.  He’s in prison too, even though he didn’t commit the murder.  Keeping secrets like this WILL land their butts in prison.

        1. Usually when you have evidence that proves a crime has been committed  and evidence showing who committed it, you don’t waste precious time waiting for that person to “come clean”.  I hope that if that is not Ayla’s blood that it will take more than just suspicion to determine who did it. I am on the side of 100% evidence and your suspicion whether aimed at the mother or the father is only that – suspicion. I thank God that police officers are working this case & not armchair investigators like yourself because then anyone who looks guilty would probably get the chair. Also, police use information to get information; what seems straight up can be a lie & vice versa. For now I myself will suspend my suspicions and pray this beautiful child AYLA is found because at the moment that is what is more important than slinging accusations back and forth. When the police determine who is guilty and make an arrest it will be because they have the appropriate evidence to back it & I will be more than happy the day that happens.

  48. I just wonder why Justin would take this baby from her mother, if was not going to take care of her.  Was it to avoid paying child support?

    1. Not only would he not have to pay support for Ayla…in fact having Ayla would open the flood gates to free rent, food, utilities and insurance.  I can’t imagine that he would have hurt her…however, an accident could have occured and this is how he’s dealing with it.

      1. “Not only would he not have to pay support for Ayla…in fact having Ayla would open the flood gates to free rent, food, utilities and insurance.”
I’m sure Trista was getting the full welfare package as well.Probably living pretty well with 2 paychecks. Now that one is gone, she’ll be cranking out another soon enough.

        1. Why does it always go back to Trista?  We’ll see in a couple weeks what the story is and all you Trista bashers won’t have anything to say — oh wait, you pull apart everything from her clothing, weight, that she drinks soda and she does than doesn’t cry enough on camera, I guess you’ll have enough in your judgemental minds to keep going after her.  I hope you never have something this horrible happen in your life then have people like you bashing your every move.  I for one don’t know how I would respond so I’m not bashing her every move and word.

          1. I don’t worry about my kids vanishing into thin air. As a good parent, I know where my kids are at all times.

          2. She knew where her child was too when she went into rehab.  Justin took the opportunity to take Alya from her grandmother where Trista had left her to be cared for.  She left her child where she knew she was safe. Justin came and staked his parental rights once Trista was in rehab.,  Justin is the one that can’t seem to recall what occurred with his daughter — just that she’s gone. I too know where my children are — but, I don’t think that just because someone has an addiction (that they recognize and seek help for) makes them a bad person or parent.  I haven’t heard of one incident involving the mother and lack of care of Ayla in any reported stories thus far, if you know of her being a bad uncaring parent give proof if not lay off her just because you feel superior in your good parenting.

          3. Just being….thank you!! I myself am a mother of two boy’s 19 and 14 as well as a Step Mother to 4 other children, I know where each and every one of them are at all times.  I check on my children EVERY nite and there just where they are suppose to be…in bed sleeping! How could you NOT check on a 20 month old little girl?? Further more, as for Miss Trista, if she could maybe shed JUST one tear for her Daughter i MAY feel a bit better.  I truly think that neither one of them deserve to have there organs to produce any more children, as they both seem to be unworthy of taking care of them selves let alone a child!! I am just appalled to see anyone supporting her.  Those who think and can Psycho analyze either of these so called parents JUST may not be as perfect as they seem.  I’m not perfect by ANY means, but Damnitt I take care of my boy’s VERY well, as well as my Step children.  So don’t EVEN try to Psycho analyze me or anyone else unless you have a PHD!! I just want to know WHAT parent out there that wouldn’t cry there hearts out if there child was missing…I had a Nightmare that my son went missing and woke up crying my heart out and my pillow was soaked from my tears and i wasn’t even AWAKE!!

          4. How do you know that she’s not — you see a snapshot of her day. You seem pretty self-righteous and I’m not trying to psycho babble anyone!  I’m responding to the bitter way that others are psycho analyzing Trista.  You have even attempted to in your comment. Really what does it matter IF SHE COULD JUST SHED ONE TEAR FOR HER DAUGHTER I MAY FEEL A BIT BETTER — who the hell cares– I’m sure Trista has other things to worry about then if you feel for her.  Pat yourself on the back and go to bed!  Oh wait it seems that you must give yourself a lot of pats on the back already — go try to find some good in someone else (bet you’d be hard pressed to do so with your self-righteousness and judgemental attitude)

          5. Wow…and Yes i do pat myself on the back every night as my Children kiss me good night.  So i do have a lot to be thankful for!! My Children are my WORLD and I’m simply stating that anyone who has Kids should feel the same way.  So you mean to tell me that you wouldn’t be crying if your child was missing? OR now that the blood in the basement is Aylas?? Again, I’m Very happy with my life and those who are in it!

          6. Well aren’t you blessed to have custody of your children.  Your attitude toward Trista is reprehensible. How thoughtless you are towards a mother whose child is most likely no longer living.  Your comments are cruel, self-righteous and ignorant.

        2. What is wrong with you?  You seem like the most unlikable person in the world.  Why are you so hateful towards this young woman?  She’s just trying to get along like the rest of us.  You really need to grow your heart about two sizes in order to qualify as human.

  49. CSI’s abound!! There’s BLOOD!!  anyone think about a deep freeze in the basement? quit thinking t.v and think maybe it was the hamburger….  this info is released nearly 5 weeks after it was discovered, think maybe the” sweating it out” part is a dead end?? no one caved under the pressure of blood evidence. We all know something seems amiss in this home, er….. house. Lets just leave the police work to the police and not the BDN comment section.

  50. The truth will come out in due time. Life is not a 30 second segment on the nightly news. In all likelihoood the MSP will clear this case, and when they do, all the armchair critics will be sitting down to a dish of humble pie.

  51. In and article in the Maine Sunday Telegram titled “Last to See Ayla Hiding Something” Police say that the possibility that someone slipped into the house and took Ayla “doesn’t pass the straight – face test.”

I hope all those posters that were so sure that the mother or one of her “rehab buddies” had snuck into the house and did this are satisfied that she didn’t have anything to do with this and will stop the terrible hurtful comments that have been written about her.

She may not be too articulate when it comes to presenting in front of the cameras (who of us would be under these conditions?) However, it doesn’t seem that she stormed Justin’s house and took Ayla.

  52. OK Guys I have got to let off some steam here… I do not know any of the cops that are handling this case, let me make that real clear.. I am not a cop either. I was an EMT for 8 years though.. Just because you are NOT getting all the information the Cops have, it does not mean they are doing a shoddy job. These Guys investigate all day long, go home and hug their kids.. They have all this weight on their shoulders 24/7  to make sure they take the right steps in bring Ayla’s case to an end.  Am sure they have lost many nights sleep about this as well, prayed for her life, and even shed a few tears over this baby. Just because they wear a badge, does not mean they don’t have a heart.. Quite the opposite really, as they trained for this job, so they could solve cases like this.. I had calls years ago, and to this day still have night mares over them. Just because a case or a call has ended, it don’t mean the brain forgets it. Everybody is talking about this CSI stuff.. A lot of leg work goes into this as well. Everything is not CSI, in a perfect world one day it might be. Talking to the Perps and trying to trip them up, is hard.  The don’t want to arrest the wrong one, they want the truth too.. Give these Guys some credit would you.. Is harder on them to get this right, then it is us reading it…

    1. Valerie,  so true  I used to live in Florida this happeneds all the time. Police do get personally involved and I wouldn’t be a bit suprised when they find Alya they will shed some tears.  It’s best for them to keep this quiet, otherwise you have the press  involved with the wrong information.
I agree they are doing a great job it takes time to build a case, you have to wait for all the evidence to come back from the lab.

      1. Orono, Has got to be so hard for these cops, going through the evidence in the right time lot, and putting this whole case together before they make the arrest. Every I has to be dotted and T’s crossed. They have one time to get this right. If they screw up a bit, the double jeopardy law will kick in and the case lost.  This can’t happen we have a baby here.
I don’t care if it takes them months to pull this all together. Just as long as the right person goes to jail. No guess work can go into this case. We are looking for an answer without a body.. They have to tighten this case right down.. I give these Guys so much credit for the job they are doing.. And they do deserve a lot of kudo’s for this..

  53. I hope and pray that this beautiful little girl is found alive.  Neither parents should ever get custody of her when and if it ever happens.  I can’t believe that two selfish, immature humans would ever put them selves above the welfare of their child.  The more I hear the mother talk the more I dislike her, plus he and his mother are nuts.

  54. OK…its it JUST me or is her Mother just plain out right emotionless?? If that were my Daughter…you wouldn’t even be able to talk to me on camera with out my tears flowing like the Niagara falls!!!! I SERIOUSLY don’t get it AT ALL!!! The only one that i have seen crying is Ayla’s Grandfather! Also by listening to her Mother talk on this she say’s “Blood was found OF my Daughters” So the Police and media have only stated that it was “blood” found in the basement…NOW we know it’s Ayla”s…JUST PLEASE TELL US WHAT AND WHY YOU DID THIS. Just plain out right HEARTBROKEN AND DISGUSTED!!!!

    1. None of these lying, deceitful morons want to go to the slammer. Period.  I agree with everything you said.  It’s ALLLL about them.  She says “I have to keep going for my son.”  Not a tear.  Two unemployed nothings who forgot the prophylactics.  Poor Ayla.

        1. Righteous or financial planning? I’ll take righteous as a compliment.

Subject: [bdn] Re: Police: Blood found at Ayla Reynolds’ father’s home

          1. Have you taken a look at this state — no, the country right now?  I guess you feel that all parents who haven’t got a job are low lifes that can’t be good parents — you would be the type to feel superior and righteous — good for you…Bless Your Heart!

          2. They’re not all low lifes….just the ones that use the system and the ones with “missing” children.

Subject: [bdn] Re: Police: Blood found at Ayla Reynolds’ father’s home

    2. If you go to a different newsource (sentinal or boston) they post pictures of her upset and crying.  Everyone reacts differently in stressful situations and frankly flowing tears won’t find Ayla. She even states she still cannot comprehend what has happened to her daughter.  I think she is holding up extremely well to all the public scrutiny and to all those who have attacked her based upon her perceived socioeconomic status.  (poor single mother with alcohol issues).  Some people smile out of nervousness and cannot truly show how they are feeling.  Some people also appear flat or emotionless because they are in a state of shock.  Have you heard of dissociation?  It is when a trauma is so overwhelming that a person becomes disconnected from their feelings and can compartmentalize in order to survive.  Trista mentioned that she has to still be a mom to her other child.  It is easy to sit back and criticize when you are not experiencing the anguish that Trista is undergoing.

    3. Why does she have to put on a display for the likes of you?  And how exactly do you know what way you would act, unless your child disappeared too?  She is numb and in disbelief that this has happened.  So put a sock in it.

      1. First of all, my Son did go missing in Florida in 2008 SO I DO in fact know the feeling, I was crying my F^*KING eyes out and puking on my parents back lawn! So DON’T tell me to put a damn sock in it!! It took us 8 hours to find him and i was crying and vomiting the WHOLE time he was gone. So NOW what do you have to say MarieR?? It HAS happened to me, so i have all the right in the F^*KING world to voice my opinion!!! WOW

  55. Welcome to all the generational x, y , z’s out there in this world. Just think, within a few years they will be making our policies.

          1. Of course, they do not feel any sense of contributing to the over all welfare of society.

I must add that the last three generations, in the end, will turn out to be the greatest in the history of the U.S., because they will need to fight as our forefathers did. And, the history of this great nations reveals winners not losers.

  56. In the beginning of the video, she implies that she’s not there for the cameras. Then in the end of the video what do we see?  OMG Trista in front of a camera.  This girl is eating this stuff up.  She’s lovin it.  Everytime I see her on camera it makes me want to start a petition to get her fixed.

    1. They keep putting the camera in her face…if she walked away you’d be picking that apart.  My God give the girl a break — she’s living through hell right know because her daughter has been taken while UNDER THE CARE OF HER FATHER I might add.

I’m sure Justin ran from the camera — after all the news of blood being found in the house had just been released along with the police saying that those in the house that night were not be upfront and honest.  Yeah, I’m betting Justin won’t be heard from again until the police take action.

    2. Did you even watch?  As soon as she stepped out into the street they descended on her.  She is not “lovin it” nor is she “eating this stuff up”.  She wants her kid back.  She didn’t hold a gun to anyone’s head and make them come and sick a camera and a microphone in her face.  Why don’t you get yourself fixed?

  57. There is just something that stinks to high heaven about this troubling case.  There are so many questions and I don’t think either parent has been completely honest with investigators.  You just get the feeling that something is being overlooked.  I don’t know what to make of it all.

    1. What would the mother be lying about?  She didn’t have the child in her custody and from reports hadn’t been allowed to speak to her in weeks prior to her disappearance.  Justin kept making excuses as to why she couldn’t come to the phone — I doubt Trista would have a lot of input to the case at all.  The people in the house that night need to come clean!

  58. Must be knida embarrassing for the BDN to have a top notch reporter in Portland and have a Boston TV station report this news first then have to go to the Morning Sentinel to get the rest of the story. Good work BDN.

  59. Just found this on wabi tv website
Ayla Reynolds Website Claims Blood Found in Basement Does Belong to Ayla by Meghan Hayward – January 29th 2012 07:47pm – Read more Local NewsWaterville – A statement has been put up on the Ayla Reynolds Web site that claims State Police have informed to family the blood found in the basement of the Violette Ave home in Waterville is in fact Ayla’s.

It also says police told them “it was more blood than a small cut would produce.”

Ayla was reported missing on December 17 by her father, Justin DiPietro.

Saturday State Police Spokesman, Steve McCausland told TV5 he doesn’t believe DiPietro is telling the whole story of what happened.

We’ve placed called to McCausland and he says he will have more information for us later this evening.

As soon as we have any more details we will let you know. Print this Story

        1. The Trista bashers will have it all figured out — she slipped into the house grabbed Ayla, took her downstairs to the basement where Justin, his girlfriend and her child (funny how she made sure her child was safely sleeping next to her) were sleeping — then somehow caused Ayla to bleed, then sneaking out with her.  Yup, I can see where they’ll have this all figured out.

  60. Blood has been found inside the home where a missing 20-month-old toddler from Maine was last seen, NewsCenter 5’s Michele McPhee reported Saturday.
Ayla Reynolds vanished Dec. 17. She was reported missing by her father, Justin DiPietro, who told police he believed his daughter was snatched from her bedroom in his Waterville, Maine home.
Days later, law enforcement authorities said in a news release that the case had evolved from the search for a missing child to a “criminal investigation.”
Now, Team 5 Investigates has learned why.
Multiple law enforcement sources have told McPhee that blood was found inside the home.
Maine State Police have now confirmed blood was found in the basement of the home at 29 Violette Ave.
State police spokesman Steve McCausland says the blood was found in the basement early in the investigation into Ayla Reynolds’ disappearance from her father’s home in Waterville.
McCausland says the blood is troubling and police believe DiPietro and two other adults at DiPietro’s home that morning “have not given us the full story.”
Authorities said the crime lab is still working to determine whose blood it is, and how long it had been in the basement.
Multiple law enforcement sources also told Team 5 Investigates that Reynolds’ father left the police station when he was shown crime scene photos of luminol-enhanced blood stains taken at the home.
DiPietro did not return several phone calls from WCVB-TV. In previous weeks he has said publicly, “I would never do anything to hurt my child.”
DiPietro has also said publicly he took and passed a lie detector test.
Maine State Police would not confirm nor deny that assertion. They would only confirm DiPietro did take a polygraph and that he, as well as police, knew the results.
Ayla’s mother, Trista Reynolds, claimed she took a polygraph exam Jan. 18, according to the Associated Press.
Reynolds said she was told by the test administrator that she couldn’t complete the exam due to an undisclosed medical condition.
No one has been charged. Police have not publicly named any suspects.
The hunt to find Reynolds has been intense.
“We remain hopeful that we will bring her back to her home,” said McCausland.
On Jan. 12, more than a dozen police divers searched an icy river near the house that DiPietro lives in, but found nothing.
They also drained Messalonskee stream so police could search it on foot and by air overhead, which was also proved fruitless, McCausland said.
Waterville Police said in a statement that investigators believe Ayla met with “foul play” and that their search for a missing child has turned into a criminal case.
Ayla had been living with the DiPietros after her mother checked herself into rehab in November.
A vigil in Ayla’s honor was being held Saturday in downtown Waterville.
A $30,000 reward has been offered for any information leading investigators to the toddler’s whereabouts.

  61. you know if Ayla was killed i CANT imagine the scene how they killed that little baby I DONT understand WHYYYYYYYYYY

  62. Ayla’s family released a statement on facebook today that indicated that, although the police did not inform the press, but rather left it up to the discretion of Ayla’s family, that the blood found actually belonged to Ayla and that it was more blood than “a small wound.”  Who knows whether this is reliable and can be believed, but it was interesting nonetheless.  I hope it’s not true.  If so, that’s just one more wrench thrown into my optimism for a safe return

    1. Why would anyone post something like this that wasn’t true.  I think she was told before the vigil yesterday and that’s why she slipped and said that Ayla’s blood was found in the house. I can’t imagine getting news like this.
