BANGOR, Maine — A landlord in the process of evicting a tenant asked police to accompany him while he walked through the apartment on Saturday and police found the tenant with drugs, Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said Monday.
Robert Dellairo, 30, allegedly was found with diverted Suboxone strips at around 1 p.m. He was arrested and charged with felony unlawful possession of scheduled drugs and for violating his bail conditions. Suboxone is used to treat opioid addiction.
During the eviction, Edwards said, Officer Dan Sanborn was entering the apartment with the landlord while Officer Brian Smith was outside.
“Smith radioed that he saw Dellairo duck out a fire escape,” the sergeant said.
When Dellairo saw Smith, he threw something into the bedroom and went back through the window, Edwards said.
When questioned, Dellairo appeared to be under the influence of drugs and was found with the Suboxone, the sergeant said.
Dellario was taken to the Penobscot County Jail and later released. He faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted of the felony drug charge and a fine of up to $20,000.
Dellairo has several convictions on his record, according to Bangor Daily News archives. He was convicted of carrying a concealed weapon, driving to endanger and criminal mischief in separate 2011 incidents. He was convicted in October 2010 of assault, violating his conditions of release and burglary.

…
And a criminal record to boot. Go figure!
Criminal records and Neck Tats…they are like love and marriage…you can’t have one without the other!

WOW. Talk about stereotype. You must also think that all redheads are hotheaded?
Stereotypes (at least in this case) are based on reality… like it or not.
its true, gingers and tempers go together !
Nothing says “earning potential” like a neck tattoo!
C’mon, society! Everyone deserves 14 or 15 chances!
You mean like Wall Street??
1. Keep it civil and stay on topic
Wow, talk about whining rhetoric that has nothing to do with the issue. Just because you can’t understand Wall Street doesn’t make it the cause of all your problems.
So he was arrested for the Suboxone and violating bail conditions and was taken to jail and released? I thought if you ‘violated” bail conditions your bail was revoked and you stayed in the jailhouse? I’m just saying? Things that make you go Hmmmmmmm.
I agree. That’s the whole point of bail conditions, behave or get locked up.
Not according to the constitution….like it or not, agree or disagree…The only requirement for bail shall be to insure the presence of the defendant. Remember that peskey little quote…”guilty until proven innocent in a court of law”….Darnit!! The constitution sucks huh?
At least he’s not a transient…
Too bad he can’t be evicted to some island to live with his type.
So was he getting the suboxone from Acadia or some other treatment facility or did he buy it from some other industrious addict who can’t work for a living but can sell their drugs?
He could have stolen it as well…or bought it from someone who stole it. If the guy was visibly high it wasn’t from the suboxone, though. He most likely took some benzodiazepines with it.
You should know.
When you have worked with addicts you learn these kinds of tings.
Really classy of you to try to imply that I’m a drug addict or abuser, though. Ironically, I have never touched drugs in my life and I don’t even drink. Being educated about addiction is a good thing. Being stupid is not. Perhaps you should step away from your keyboard and pick up a book once in awhile.
What? If you think that people can’t get “high” from suboxone, you haven’t worked with many addicts…
Ahhh, the ever popular neck tattoos….that ought to help at a job interview.
At least is was suboxone and not bath salts. As soon as I started reading this and saw Bangor I thought Bath Salts for sure!
People are placing too much of a focus on Methadone and Suboxone and believe that people are getting high on these opiate replacement medications. The problem is when people combine them with benzodiazepines. It messes them up and can kill them.
Again. People DO get high from Methadone and Suboxone, the ONLY people that believe that they don’t are the ones making money from replacing one addiction for another.
Dare I say it? Three Strikes and you’re OUT!
Why do landlords rent to them……
Probably because they are slum lords and that’s the only type of tenant who will rent from them.
Because that whole quadrant of Bangor is now trashy low income housing! Filled with drug addicts, criminals, sex offenders, etc. Capehart may actually be more appealing to live in! However, at least most of the scumbags are now in their own area!
i suppose he did not know he had to leave after all he was under the influence
Your basic no chance from the start child ,remember him well from the neighborhood, when he was a child, terrible home life ,nothing but an absolute zoo, could see this coming a mile away.
