YARMOUTH, Maine — The cause of a single-car accident at 4:45 p.m. Saturday that killed a local man is still under investigation, according to a dispatcher for Yarmouth and Falmouth.

Chad Meier, 36, died when his 1991 Nissan pickup went off the road near 780 East Main St., according to dispatcher Eric Dupuis. Meier’s vehicle reportedly hit a stump before flipping over. Dupuis said Meier was not wearing a seat belt and that the cause of the crash remains under investigation.

No other information was available Sunday evening, said Dupuis.
