BANGOR and BREWER – Lloyd H. Butts, 53, died unexpectedly July 17, 2010, at a Bangor hospital. He was born March 23, 1957, in Niagara Falls, N.Y., son of Harry and Margaret (Hedric) Butts. Lloyd served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years, and was the shop foreman for CB Kenworth. He enjoyed his home, working in his garden, but mostly loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and his close friends. Lloyd also loved being with his dog, Nittany. His life was all about his family and helping people. He is survived by his father of Pennsylvania; his loving wife, Bonnie (Baer) Butts of Brewer; three sons, John Butts and his wife, Angela, of Texas, Travis Butts and his wife, Audrey, of Bangor and James Butts and his fiancee, Elisia Dodge, of Houlton; one daughter, Heidi Butts and her partner, Jessica Grover, of Bangor; three brothers, Harry Butts Jr., Mark Butts and Brad Butts, all of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Brenda Spicer of Pennsylvania and Paula Greer of North Carolina; and seven grandchildren, Lizzie, Jonah, Noah, Kylie, Elijah, Trevor and Dakota. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, July 23, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with Chaplain Richard Bach, of the Maine Air National Guard, officiating. Friends may call noon until the time of service Friday. Interment with military honors will be held after the funeral service at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor.
