BANGOR — Nicholas Moore hit a game-winning, two-run, home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to lift Bangor East over Hermon 6-4 in the District 3, 11-12 Little League baseball championship game Saturday. Bangor advanced to the state tourney in Hampden and will play its first game at noon on Saturday.
Ethan Doorman hit a two-run single in the bottom of the fifth inning to tie the game for Bangor East. Joey Moir doubled and scored on Moore’s home run. Liam Reading and Ben Crichton each added a double.
Bryce Hiefytje hit two solo home runs and a single to pace Hermon. Eric Hoogterp chipped in with a two-run home run.

At Bar Harbor, Billy Nicholas hit a two-run double to highlight an eight-run sixth inning as Calais defeated Acadian.
Nicholas collected a double, a single and four RBIs for Calais. Dylan Carter singled twice with an RBI while Adam Geel hit a two-run single.
Robbie Logue had two doubles, a single and an RBI for Acadian. Nick Shaw had two singles, a triple and two RBIs while Colin Mooers added two singles and an RBI.

At Bar Harbor, Shawn Smith hit an RBI single in the top of the seventh inning to drive in Matt Clark for the winning run as Bucksport topped Coastal.
Clark reached base on a fielder’s choice to later score the winning run for Bucksport. Smith finished with three singles while Tyler MacAllian added a two-run home run.
Ben Olivari hit an RBI double for Coastal while Ben Eley chipped in with an RBI single.

At Bar Harbor, Toby Woods pitched a one-hitter with eight strikeouts and two walks as Calais shut out Bucksport in five innings.
Ryan Johnson hit a two-run double for Calais. Woods helped his own cause with an RBI single.

At Bar Harbor, Josh Gale hit a two-run home run in the third inning and added a two-run single in the fourth to drive the eventual game-winning run as Coastal held off Acadian.
Ben Olivari doubled and singled with an RBI for Coastal. Schuyler Van der Eb chipped in with an RBI single.
Kyle McKim singled twice with an RBI for Acadian. Trevor Alley and Brody Bowden each added a double.

At East Machias Saturday, Coastal rallied for six runs in the bottom of the seventh to record the victory.
Finn Allwine paced the winners from Blue Hill with four singles and Hayden Ciomei chipped in with three. Gabe Allen added two doubles.
Freddy Maclean and Gage Feeney each recorded a double and two singles to lead Machias while Frank Finn and Tyler Varney each contributed a double and single.
Machias pulled off a triple play during the game when left fielder Jordan Drouin caught a line drive with the bases loaded and threw to second baseman Logan Wood, who caught a runner off the base for the second out, and then threw to third baseman Frank Finn who did the same for the third out.
